No defense to Gore but has anyone else stood up and at least tried to bring to light some of the valid real issues we face?
The problem with Gore is that he refuses to debate the issue and answer the tough questions. Gore gets his way. His facts are facts. No negotiation, no debate.

Very dangerous to us all. If we adopt all the rules & regs he wants, apply all the cap & trade taxes he wants, and do what he would like to do to control global warming, each and every household in the USA would pay an approx additional $3100.00 in taxes and energy costs.

Think about that. There are a lot of people that simply cannot afford that. Then, what happens? Do we let them freeze in their homes? Have no gas to get to work? Of course not. But, who pays? The answer, we do in more and more taxes to keep them from freezing in their homes and running out of gas to get to work. Then, of course, businesses will have to comply with more and more regs on pollution. That will cost in the multi billions. A lot of companies will simply have to close their doors and show their employees the same door. Or, at the very least, get loans to pay for improvements to cut back on carbon pollutions. That will increase costs that will be passed on to you and me.

Then, of course, what happens over seas. China is not liable to us for control of the climate. They will pollute as long as they see fit. Possibly many, many years ahead. So, what have we accomplished? Nothing except the growth of government to make Gore feel better? Or, the lefty environmental people feel better? Chine will still polute the world.

The solution. Of course, we do develop more and more energy sources. Wind, solar, etc, etc. We should support that. Drill for more oil in our own country. Use our own resources. We have plenty. But, let the private sector do it. Not government. Government is the worst and inefficient way to get control on anything let alone something this big. They can't even control themselves. If we tax anything, we should be taxing their inefficiency.

Why is it we have to make all the changes when foreign countries like China could care less...
Thats exactly why all the efforts by delusional morons like Gore would have little or no effect on climate change. But, it will cost the American people billions upon billions of dollars.

So whats a few billion on fixing our planet in the long run?? If you spent as much energy trying to make me feel stupid about wanting a greener planet and thinking I am a Gore lover (which I am not), and put that energy into trying to make a difference maybe we could work together (theres and idea!) instead of trying to always prove your right over somone else. It's getting OLD!
Excuse me.

But, its not old when Cap & Trade legislation passed, ratified, and signed by the president would cost the average family an average of $3100.00 a year in taxes and extra utility & fuel costs. Thats not including the impact that will have on businesses all over the country in extra utility & fuel costs. Thats not old. Thats something to pay a lot of attention to in any economic times. Especially now.

Speaking for myself, the best legislation we can do is to regulate Gore's mouth and all the environmental screw balls he hangs with.

It's because we are too wrapped up in our lives or have the time in our schedules to make a difference.
There are a lot more folks that have a lot of time on our hands because we they unemployed across the country. Giving the government multi trillions is simply putting more of them out on the street.

The most dangerous words in the English language are:

I am from the Government, and I am here to help
...............Ronald Reagan.
You don't want to spend the money or taxes to fix it then do your part. Yes its that simple, but it's hard to get billions of people to work together. Maybe we should fund the goverment to work on that??
Frankly, I am not for giving funds to the government for anything other than infrastructure and military. Any other funds are wasted to much on craplo like Murtha's multi million dollar airport that flyies in three airplanes a day and serves about 30 people. Thats just one very example that adds up to be huge money.
