Vario 1/4 Bell 206 Electric Project
Hello Guys,

Finally, after selling a few items and saving for a little bit, I am the proud owner of a Vario 1/4 Bell 206. I love the bell 206 and feel very fortunate to have the opportunity to build one, humbled actually. I have purchased all the parts from Peak Aircraft/Vario USA, except for the cockpit kit. I have not decided if I am going to design and make all the cockpit parts in house, but I am leaning that way. But I may pick up the cockpit kit, just to have it.

Parts are coming and I hope to have the rest of the parts in a few week(s) or month(s). Right now, they sent the fuselage without the wood kit, since they have a new design and they are getting cut from what I have been told, not sure when that will come and the main shaft is backordered as well. So far everything appears to be undamaged. The only critique would be packaging on the mechanics, for the price it would be nice to see a little better packaging, but that's minor and just my humble opinion.

This will be electric and the dome mechanics have come in already. I purchased the electric drive set without the motor and ESC and I am still figuring out what motor/ESC combo I will run. They call for a Pyro 850-50 and 200 amp ESC.

I am undecided on scheme, I am have a couple in mind and would like it to be military or fire. I have a good friend that flew for Calalaska Helicopters and I can get great documentation for N22EA. I need to decide before getting too far into the build though.

For the build, I plan on getting it built, assembled, tested and flying before getting all the scale bits done and paint. That's is the plan, but you know how plans are, subject to change.

I thought I would share with you guys and I can certainly do a build thread if there is enough interest or just share here and there as I go, let me know if and what you guys want to see. I have not found any build threads on this and what I have found is just a post here or there and really good thread on painting and detailing, but not of the actual construction from start to finish. I am sure there might be some threads on the overseas forum(s), but I have not checked.

Couple pictures to share. Thanks guys and talk soon.

Jason
