Been working on strengthening fuse, as on my previous model which I lost in fire needed strengthening around the roof section, as when turbine was running the heat would soften the surrounding area.
So I cut a piece of ply and glued to ceiling, then layer carbon fiber cloth, this has made it really strong and sturdy, I also strengthened the rear where the rear broom cupboard hatch is..
I did get a couple of drops of epoxy on outside so I will use heat gun and peel them off,

Once it is cured I will finish the interior and work out where the lights need to be as the dash board lights up etc..
I am waiting for the seats to come back from upholsterers..

All good fun

Very nice work Matt!
I have the same issue with a 1/5 Bell 429 and need to firm up the sides and top to stop the mechanics from moving around up top.

Matt - try to bulk up the rear Skid Cross Tube mount on the Fuzz floor. If your floor is stiffened with foam filled epoxy board (like mine was), remove a strip about 3" wide across the full width of the fuzz and replace with Carbon or Glass matt. On a heavy landing, the rear skid mount saddles could puncture the floor!!

Been a busy week at work, but managed to do some work, wired together some wire looms so the dashboard lights up, soldered all the other lights and will connect them over the weekend, but they all work which is good.

Also made the rear spot as per full size this also will be fitted am debating to have it rotate on a servo..

I also managed to obtain through recommendation some really nice door hinges that are CNC made, they are a bit expensive compared to the plastic Vario ones but they look really nice.

I then worked on a scale filler which i painted and dotted, this will fit on rear as per full size, i will also print off some other parts that go along with it.

Then today i made a false cieling mount for the two inside spot lights, i made a little trim that went round to finish off the edge, these also work after fixing the loom, i then used a bit of balsa and shaped it to cover the wires going to the main column, this will be covered felt as per full size.
