out of production
Hello Folks recently was on RC Japan and discovered that the Freya model as a whole has just been moved to the DISCONTINUED list!
Do not worry, After speaking with the folks at RC Japan, They will continue to stock parts for them and will manufacture what you need if you need it!!
Hirobo used to take knocks about being reluctant to compete with other manufacturers producing more (modern) equipment.
With the hobby going the way it is going, maintaining a fantastic design may be easier, cheaper and a better investment of money (if this even applies here).
There are other helicopters on the list so you may want to check it out.

Sad to see. I still have two Freyas, along with a GPH. Everywhere I look, everybody is out of stock on Hirobo helis. I was hoping their release of the Eagle IV and Gigas would reinvigorate sales, but it doesn't look like it. I hope RC Japan is correct in saying parts will be available. Fingers crossed!

Sure we’ll be able to get spares from RCJapan, they’ve never missed a beat.

I’ve always been able to get spares for my sdx, freya and turbulence D3 version 1.

Still able to get spares for the models before the Freya.

Really hoped that Hirobo could get a portion of the market back.

My hope is like yours, that Hirobo will continue producing helicopters in general. As we all may know, Hirobo produces many different items across a wide scale for industrial, domestic and automotive applications.
The factory informed me two years ago that this branch is the the financial mainstay and supports the rc division. This (so far) has allowed them to produce and maintain stock on all of these great helicopter designs and their parts.
At this point, I trust Hirobo and what they say.

Hi Guys

I wouldn't be so sure that the Freya is out of production. There's been a lot of misinformation floating around regarding Hirobo's models (and Hirobo's existence!) recently and not all of it is true, nor as straight forward as it may appear..

Firstly they've not said anything to me about it being discontinued. Secondly, when they do discontinue a model/range then it is normally marked as such on their website.. see the Quark SG here:
https://www.hirobo.com/view/category/ct25

The Freya range is showing as purely "out of stock":
https://www.hirobo.com/view/category/ct27

Hirobo has been hit hard by COVID with a number of suppliers going out of business. They have been having to retool and this has put a delay in kit production. Shuttle kits and the smaller scale models are just starting to come back in to stock now. I know their production schedule is full up until around September. Therefore I expect we'll start to see the rest of the current range come back in to stock over the coming months. However there will be some price increases owing to the fact that new tooling is having to be made compared to the old tools which had paid for themselves long ago...

Many Thanks

Mark

Hirobo are just waiting on Scorpion motors to come back in stock. Once they have arrived they can finish up the EP kits and they'll be back in stock.. hopefully end of this month early next month..

Many Thanks
