Cataracts
Has anyone had cataract surgery done and had new lenses installed which allowed them to fly without glasses? How did it work out for you?

I have had one optician tell me I needed it doing and another saying it wasn't really necessary yet but would improve my ability to see my helis at a distance. I hate the prospect of someone messing up my long distance vision

Both of mine also, very easy and my sight was perfect for distant viewing. also my color perception exploded. Some have one eye done for distance and the other for reading, but I decided a bunch of Dollar store readers would work as I didn't want my distant Depth perception messed up.
My brother had adjustable lenses implanted and said they work great.

Thanks for all the good advice guys, I feel a lot better about getting it done now. Distance vision in both eyes for me and I have readers all over the house. I get to see the surgeon on Wednesday. I'll see what he saysPeter Wales

Don't know your age but the surgery is free for those on Medicare. They do one eye at a time over a period of two months. Your vision will improve but never be 20/20.
