Beginner and need help
Hello friends I'm new to helicopters and need some help
I am currently considering which beginner helicopter to buy but I wanted to ask a question about a remote control.
Is there such a thing as a universal remote control that fits many helicopter models? Or every helicopter and its remote?

Hi! I don't know much about product availability In your country but in my opinion a beginner would start out on a good track with Horizon bind and fly beginner models and a Spektrum radio..6 channel at least. I wish there were models like that when I started back in '94..I do a great decending funnel!

Thanks for the reply

First of all thanks for the concern, today anyone can order anything via the internet and get it anywhere in the world, I guess different from 94

I would like to ask again to develop some knowledge in the field.

I see lots of types of helicopters from lots of manufacturers, is there a remote control that fits more than one helicopter?

For example on YouTube there is the following video

Watch at YouTube

and you see the guy takes an helicopter out of the box without a remote control, does he use a universal remote?

Hi Shlomi,
Shalom, and welcome to the forum.
Most of the time those helicopters are pre setup hence why you get the model already paired and setup with a TX, you can sometimes buy the heli on its own,he has a futaba TX that uses Fhss system, the 14sg and others within futaba range can use this system and the FAAST which my models use.. so in answer to your question yes you can get a tx for all types of models within XK brand, he mentions it in the video...
For simplicity I bought the EC145 with a tx so I could fly straight out of the box.
I don't know about other brands of these mini scale models I only have dealt with the XK brand..

If you are just starting to learn to fly... these little scale looking heli's aren't really a good choice..they look really cool but for learning it would be better to start with something that will be easier and cheaper to get back in the air after mishaps. The Blade 230s looks like a great first heli to me; I've watched a few vids on YouTube with beginners flying them..just my opinion..I do a great decending funnel!

I believe something like the Radiomaster TX16s is what you are looking for as far as multiprotocol. Not the easiest to learn to program but I guess that's not what you're asking.
