GM-Heli Mi-8 NIB Kit with Extras
Hello Guys,
Well, this will be a catch and release for me and I know I am going to regret letting this one go, since it is the finest quality kit I have ever seen and they are no longer being produced, so this makes this kit rare to say the least. I bought this on an impulse, because I used to fly (Export Mi-17 Version) on these when I was in the military and really love the helicopter. However, competing priorities require I put funds into something else, so I am going to let this one go and a few other NIB kits I have in turn.

This is the 1/11 scale GM-Heli Mi-8 and as I have stated in the first paragraph this is the finest kit, I think I have ever seen; the detail and quality are world class in my humble opinion. This is a very complete kit. It includes the basic kit and all the options that where available for it.

Basic kit contains:
All fuselage parts, glazing and bulkheads.

Options:
All windows cutoff, scale landing gear with springs, rims and tires, cockpit and detail decals. Steerable or fixed front gear. Five blades rotor head MI-8 Edition Torque-tube upgrade for Goblin mechanics, intermediate gearbox, tail gearbox and accessories.

More pictures and manuals for this helicopter can be found here

https://gm-heli.webnode.cz/mi-8-mt/#

Includes:
HELITEC HT-5G-840/53 Main Blades
HELITEC HD-3G-130 Tail Blades

Goblin parts included:
H0157-S SAB Goblin M3 Secondary Shaft
H0142-S SAB Goblin Aluminum Motor Mount w/Third Bearing Support
H032-S SAB Goblin Heavy Duty Main Gear
HC426-S SAB Goblin 12x24x6mm ABEC-5 Bearing (2)
H0429-S SAB 3 Bladed Tail Rotor System
H0175-18-S SAB Goblin Aluminum Motor Pulley (18T) (6/8mm Motor Shaft)
H0171-K SAB Big Belt Upgrade
H0024-S SAB Goblin Main Shaft Bearing Support Assembly w/Bearing
HC422-S SAB Goblin 10x19x5mm ABEC-5 Bearing (4)
H0066-S SAB Plastic Ball Links

There was also a bunch of extra 3D printed parts and other parts that were sent in a separate shipment. Stuff like antennas and other detail parts for the model and parts to build the winch. There was a couple of the extra 3D printed parts that were broken, but I just planned on making my own on my machine. No big deal there. I will also include a thumb drive with manuals and photos that I received as well and that will be in the box. I will ship this in two shipments. One with the kit and one with all the other Goblin and extra parts. Speaking of shipping, it still has the original shipping box when it shipped from the Czech Republic and it is very well built and doubled walled, very nice.

When it comes to price, I want to get what I have in the kit and the extra Goblin parts included. The SAB 3-bladed tail rotor system was included with the kit when I purchased it and I purchased all the other items as stated and pictured. I am not trying to make anything extra I paid $4,000 for the kit, and $300 for the extra parts and I also paid $200 in shipping fees to get it to me from Florida. Just want to be completely transparent.

$4,300 plus actual shipping fees with full insurance for the package. Shipping will be one box via USPS large Flat Rate Priority Mail box and the kit will ship via UPS or FedEx, whichever the buyer prefers. I will also consider a local pickup or meet with 100 miles of 83642 Meridian, ID. Payment through PayPal, please send money friends and family or add 3.5% fees. Even with a local sale I prefer PayPal as I do not have a local bank.

Please serious buyers only, this is a long description, but wanted to be thorough and transparent. Thank you for your interest.

Well, as I was getting ready to package this up, I unfortunately noticed some shipping damage to the main fuselage.

Not sure when it happened, either during the shipment from Czech to Florida or from Florida to Idaho and no way to know since the previous owner never opened the box, so I guess the damage is on me! There is no way I will let this go like this without taking some money off the price of the helicopter and it will be my loss. I checked the rest of the helicopter parts after I found this and this is the only damage to the entire kit. This is very easily fixed and minor in my opinion since it has to be painted anyways. I have all the materials here to put a backing piece of cloth over all the areas and lightweight epoxy filler to fixed the outside, I can do that for free if there is anybody would like me to or I can send it as is and the new owner can perform the repair at their shop.

When it comes to the damage, the left side has the two most noticeable damage. However, nothing broke through and the cloth on the inside is still intact! I would still put a backing piece of cloth on it though to add strength back to the area. Here are the two areas on the left side. One on the pylon and one on the ramp. Again these did not break through the inside cloth.

And here is the area on the right side. There is no visible damage on the outside that I can see, but its still there, so need to disclose. I could get both areas into one picture and there is really nothing to do, except to put a small piece of cloth on the backside.

Anyway, its certainly unfortunate that I found this, but I am happy that I found it and was able to disclose so a potential buyer can make an informed decision if they would like to purchase the helicopter. I want to be transparent and disclose.

With that being said. I am willing to take $150.00 off the price of the helicopter and I will cover the PP fees now which will be around $150 as well. I honestly think total cost to repair this is less than $20.00, but I know it sucks to get a brand new helicopter that has damage already so I think the $150 is fair and I now cover the PP fees. Thanks.

Hello Guys,

Well, I decided to add the backing cloth to make the composite repair and I am very happy with the results. The only one that really needed the cloth was damage on the left side, the right side could have been left as is, but since I was doing it, I figured I would add cloth to the right side as well. I used 1" and 2" 10 oz tape for the repairs. Also peel ply was used to absorb any excess resin and give a nice matt finish once the peel ply is removed.

I use C&J composite resin and really like it and it is super clear with a little bit of blue hint and you hardly notice it when dry, especially when using peel ply.

Here are a couple more of the repairs.

And here is a close up of the left pylon repair, super strong and I was able to get a little resin on the outside to fill the gap there and clean all that out so its a solid repair. Once the formers are added for the mechanics you will hardly notice it. All that is required is a little sanding and maybe a touch of filler when it comes time to paint.

I feel this is very solid and nothing is structural, just cosmetic. All the internal formers attach to the composite, wood, composite laminate areas of the fuselage. I am still taking the $150 off the price and covering the PP fees. And I have another $180 of Gobin parts for the mechanics on the way that I will included as well, so the minor damage has already been fixed and I am still taking money off the price, paying the PP fees and including another $180 in brand new parts. So my price is firm at $4,150.00 and the buyer pays all shipping charges, I cover the PP fees.

However, if I can not get this sold in a week or two, I am just going to keep it, I do think its going to be an awesome helicopter. I will have all the rest of the funds for my other project by then, so no need to sell it. Thanks.

Aluminum Main Servo Mount [H0010-S] - Goblin 630/700/770
Carbon Fiber Servo Spacer(10pcs) [H0075-S] - Goblin 500/570/630/700/770 RAW 700
DIN 12.9 Socket Head Cap M2,5x12 (5pcs) [HC026-S] - Goblin 380/500/570/630/700/770
SAB Aluminum Finishing Washers (10pcs) [H0007-S] - GOBLIN 500/630/700/770 RAW 700
SAB GOBLIN Uniball M2 Ø5 H3.5 - GOBLIN 500/570/630/700/770 RAW 700
SAB GOBLIN Uniball M3x4 Ø5 H18 (2pcs) [H0063-S]
SAB New Precision Design Plastic Ball Linkage - Goblin Helicopters
SAB Uniball M3x4 Ø5 H3.5 (5pcs) - [H0065-S] - Goblin Helicopters
SAB Aluminum Tail Belt Tensioner [H0174-S]
SAB CNC Delrin Main Gear Set - Goblin 630/700/770/Competition/Speed/Urukay
Aluminum Motor Pulley 23T (for 6/8mm motor shaft) [H0175-23-S]
Aluminum Frame Support (4pcs) [H0018-S]
DIN 12.9 Socket Head Cap M3x10 [HC056-S]

That makes a total of approximately $500.00 in extra parts that I needed to order for the mechanics and unless I missed something, that should be almost all the parts to build the mechanics with the big belt upgrade. I also ordered an upgraded Delrin main gear for the helicopter.

Anyways, in light of everything I figured I would throw out one more number and hope there will be somebody that wants it.

$3,500 for everything, including all the extra parts I bought for it and I will pay the PayPal fees and cover shipping with full insurance. I am losing close to $1800 after I factor in the PP fees and me covering the shipping as well. So, this will be the best I can do and thank you for understanding. Its a very nice kit and it deserves to built.
