Canopy Painting. Ive been busy re-touching up my canopy, i am captain hangar rash so over the past few years it has had some knocks getting it into the car, wind blowing it off my table at field.. The usual stuff.
Around 12 yrs ago when i first bought this machine i went in gun ho and tried to repaint the canopy and i had a huge problem with reaction, so much so i had leave it over a weekend in thinners..I then sold the machine to a good friend who repainted it really nicely. I have found this time after watching a tonne of youtube videos on prepping, masking, priming etc that this time it has gone really well.I am now up to 3rd coat of base, I know i have made 1 mistake and that was leaving the masking tape on instead of removing it just before it goes off.. So i will remove it today and see if there is any paint peel, hopefully not.                     |

/Good job!That's the things I never learn to do well.I bought a CF kit to repair my raptor canopy and the resin got hard. My mistake.Mistakes doing this things are always expensive and time consuming./ |

Had to do something during lockdown whilst working from home all the time and any work meetings were virtual... driving me mad, so was nice to have a little project with this and my 1/4 scale christian eagle 2 where I did a cockpit facia.. 
Will be changing it further now I have compressor and 2 spray guns. |
