Well... Hirobo entusiasts are always very happy with its helis.
Hard to tell is someone want to get rid of hirobo mechanism.
That is because hirobo mech were very special and especific for its fuselages.

Ok... Suppose we get tired of such a mechanism... We want a new mechanism... Class 800... Serie 90.

Mmm... I will try with two options:
Thunder tiger raptor 90 glow, torque tube
Align trex 700 electric, torque tube

If you share with us dimentions and other fuselage's characteristics, we could help you

Thanks Rogoalfa
The mech from the gear box has a lot of slop due to wear the gearbox is oil
filled flatbed the main shaft is stepped down from 10mm to 8mm at both ends why? Points of sloppiness.
I looked at the dog house mechanics which may fit not sure after some mods but not sure about the support of gears if required.clutch bell is 48mm ID and is fixed in the housing no room to put a bigger bell no clutch shoes or engine.
Thank you.

Electric Conversion, leaving the Hirobo mechanism inside.
That would be the way.

What about the conditions of the tail wire driven mechanism?

Bought the heli with the electric conversion in crash unfinished condition worse for wear tried to fly it but the control linkages badly worn and sloppy
Motor 250 KV Gear ratio 9:1
fixed in cast casing tail drive cable in good condition
Clutch looks like a Kalt on a 6mm motor shaft feels like it is slipping not lifting even on a 440KV dialed down to 60%. 800mm
blades.
Thanks

Oh! My...

Now, I understand your project.
Not easy by the way...

I like the clutch system on electrics. It give us sensation that a turbine is working.

Because of the tail driven mechanism, there is no way to test your heli without fuselage. So, we need a completed repaired fuselage in good shape prior to anything else.

The second thing to do is to figure out how to connect the tail wire to the "new kit" inside.

At this point, let take time to think...

Do you want a complete restoration with hirobo parts?

Do you want a complete restoration and no matter hirobo scale parts?
