You need something between the clutch and bell housing. Look at gasket material.

some try and put a double amount of liner so the clutch shoe doesnt have to flex that much..All The Best

I'm not sure what the specific steel is used in clutches. Some clutches engage at lower RPM's than others. Some take high RPM's to get them fully locked. Post some pictures of your clutch and bell, so we can see what you're dealing with. I'm sure the other armchair engineers will be able to help.-Kevin

Whats the gap suppose to be like between the clutch and clutch liner? I also figured out something. If you loom carefully you will see where the holes are , the part that suppose to flex is a bit thick so you can mover it by hand for a spring effect. So ill update another picture, i just rebored the holes bigger to get the edges more thinner to get it to flex , and now its flexing by hand . What you guys think ? It should work now?

I use black tape wrapped around the clutch shoes and set in the bell when I am gluing in a new liner. I use 2 wraps of black tape for a tight gap and 3 wraps for a loose gap. Dont overlap the ends of the tape.

Its .7 gap i have , but i realize whats happening now, the clutch wasnt flexing ao i had to make the holes bigger now they flex and engage the clutch bell.
