Where to get 6mm straight cut motor pinion Mod 0.7 ,say between 11-13 T ?
Just wondering where to buy the above -captioned pinion ?I bought a few from Hobby King but were crap .Nowhere else seems to make such pinions? BTW ,it's for a Hobby King 600 GT heli . My motor happens to have a 6mm shaft .

Thanks

Very small pinion for 6 mm shaft and very difficult to find as you can see.

A friend of mine solved the problem very easy. He looks for 5 mm trex 550-600 pinions and then with a lathe cut it to 6mm hole.
He did a great job and his heli were flying without problems.

I don't have a lathe. Do you think a 6mm drill bit can work to drill through a 5mm pinion? Also is there any adaptor for a 6mm shaft to become 5mm?I saw somewhere about a 6mm shaft adaptor from Protos helis .Not sure if this can suit .

Well... This is a recommendation.

You need a way to get a pinion with 5 mm hole and convert it to 6 mm hole.

Doing with a lathe, it is more precise than doing with a drill bank, IMHO.

Take the chance... Look for the lathe job and compare costs...

Your idea to get a combination tool to convert the 6 mm shaft back to 5 mm, it is possible but you don't have run to install this mod inside your helicopter.

eRCmarket over in Belgium. I had a Suppo 1000kv motor with a 6mm shaft in my Trex 600 (now SOLD). Nobody else in North America had pin gears for that size shaft.

Yep ,thanks very much.
I placed an order from ercmarket for mod 0.7 pinions and mod 1.0 both straight cut and 6 mm for my Trex 600 and Rave Env 700.
As you say ,no one on Earth seems to make these pinions these days.

Nope. When I did my Raptor 50 to electric conversion (full metal and all CF upgrades) I ordered what I needed from Belgium,France,Germany,England,Australia and the US and Canada. Nobody had "in stock" in North America to facilitate my needs. Took me a year and 1/2 to do the build and conversion. Sadly now she rests in the bottom of the lake. I only got 3 months flying out of it and then...."sploosh"....gone. $300 in diving fees later...couldn't find it. lesson learned...."NEVER"...fly over water. The pictures in my gallery were before the final finnished product. I'm still not over it 3 years later.
