I’ve used the Starwood Scale Models rivet kit for a while and it worked quite well. I can’t seem to acces the site right now though, not sure what’s going on.

Al Wirt (Starwood) died several years ago, but I think DR. Tim, might be a source for the rivet kit. He's at Approach, something. maybe Hobbies.tandem rotor nut

Basically get a syringe with a fine tipped needle and a bottle of pva then slowly dab a tiny tiny drop of pva on the fuz in lines, you don’t need big fancy rivet kitsAfter scale everything else is a toy!

I just dug out my rivet "tape" that has laser cut holes for my Jet Ranger project. This is the easiest way for me.

does anyone know where you can get the rivet tape that has the holes in, you then apply the pva glue and wait for it to dry then pull off the template tape. All The Best

thanks AdeH, appreciate the post, i did use the pva glue and syringe, but was looking for bit of a quicker solution, what i did came out ok, as i used to ice dots on wedding cakes, always knew my bakery experience would pay off someday LOL
I was watching SteveSmith Airwolf build, he used the same method i was asking about but did not give a description of where to obtain them.

Spoke to Nick, really helpful, he just needs me to let him know the size of the rivets i want to make and the spacing between each one..
Does anyone have an idea how we work that out ? i have tried looking at drawings and then dividing by 5, as my longranger is 5th scale..
is there a formatt that everyone else uses ?

i looked on Bell website and they say 1/8 inch - 3mm is 1/5th scale, it is now the spacing. as they say to calculate the spacing it is 3 x the diameter of the rivet, so i would need 9mm spacing ?

thanks Matt for bringing up this subject as I have the same questions.
I will be building a 1/6 Huey and the rivets is one of my concerns to do it right.
Thanks and take care!
