Out for 8yrs, back w new heli
Since covid i havent business travelled much at all and working from home so been able put time back into it.
I flew a trex 500 for long time, mostly sports and mild 3D... I just got myself a sale on trex760x and this thing is huge, what a machine, there is no comparison to 500,the 760x is rock solid and even easier to fly (my 500 was fbl too so is not that)
And of course i already hurt the b1tch, wasn't using dedicated BEC, just the one with the HW 200A esc, the pitch servo twitched and came down tipped, didn't really hurt the bird at all, just took out one main blade, but them suckers aline are almost $200....any other advice, am scared as hell to fly it now...why is the ESC bec not enough?, is 10A rated 44s, align full size servos on 8V

Align full size servos don't mean high voltage servos...

Your BEC is enough but probably your servos aren't high voltage servos.

Could you tell us, what type your trex servos are?

Like you been out for a while! Last proper heli was a nitro Raptor 90. And yes, you do find bigger is more stable. Just getting back in with a Trex 500!

they are cheap enough just run a separate 10a bec dedicated. if you run the esc and a 2nd it wont hurt anything.only you have the power to make no difference!

Separate BEC
I always use a separate battery to power the electronics.. I use a 2 cell lipo (7.4v) direct to the rx/stabilization system
Takes the worries away on a high powered setup..

I use Castle creations BEC Pro's on all my 700's and my Align 750E. It's excellent, never a problem. Just make sure you wire it as per instructions. And wire it to only one of your main batteries, it's easier on it. Also, it has two power wires to power your flight gear. This is important for high draw digital servos. You'll only use 60-80 mA off your main battery per flight.
