hirobo helicopters
good day, i am new to this site. can anyone identify this heli. i know it is a hirobo brand, but all i know it looks like a falcon. have searched the net to find info on it. from the tip of the skids to end of tail boom is about 42 inches. mech. gryo. got it without canopy. my email exeflier@yah00.com if you reply directly. not sure if email is breaking forum rules. thanks

I'll second that. The antirotation stalk on the left sideframe and the angled fuel tank fittings suggest Cobra. Rotor head looks like an overhead flybar Hirobo 555. More evidence would be if the engine is a .50.

Ill third that, very very very old gmp cobra or king cobra. I loved the sound those round mufflers made but you are going to have a very hard time finding replacement parts. I do think i saw one on facebook marketplace recently though.

That’s a cobra for sure. What confuses new modelers is all the Hirobo logos on the fan shroud, blade grips, fuel tank, and I think the seesaw. GMP was, back in its day, the US importer and distributor of Hirobo helicopters. Hence, when the Cobra was designed, John used Hirobo parts for about 50%, so they claimed, of the design. Seems that everything less the tail boom, main frames, plywood and canopy was Hirobo. All in all, still a great Heli in its day !
