New (to me) N9!
I've wanted one for 10 years and now I have one! Purchased off ebay (some of you may have seen it advertised). Well it was all there, os91sz, Align 90 pipe, 9255 cyclics, 9254 tail, Align governor, Align 2 in 1, Spektrum AR7000 RX, Radix V2 F3C 710mm blades! Definitely wasn't ready to go as advertised though! My god it needed a lot of work! Bent main shaft, bent flybar, 2 stripped engine head bolts, completely seized rear bearing, overtightened and practically seived swash bearing, very ropey looking crown gear (boom pushed in too far to get the mesh instead of shimming the main shaft so about 1mm of the thickest part of the crown gear wasn't in contact!), and main blades quite badly chipped! Anyway, a few days and £££ later and she's all sorted and flying well and smooth!

Oh and I did the 4mm flybar mod and used a huge 570mm trex 700 flybar!

60% of the time, it works every time!

With a new ring and bearings the old os91sz-h has plenty of power even with 710mm blades and a huge flybar, plus the heli weighs 5.5kg!

I think you need to do something with this two stripped engine head bolts...
I was thinking about changing the crankcase...

I used longer bolts, they went in just deep enough to catch some fresh threads and nipped up no problem.

Congrats! N9 is one of my favourite birds too and I still own one. A very nice looking heli.
If you wanna fly your N9, handle it with extra care since parts are hard to find...
Good luck!
