T-Rex 700N, LE with FBL, DFC conversion
Hi everyone, I'm hopping to gain some knowledge of whats happened with changes on the T-Rex 700N in the past few years as I have not been flying due to passing of a family member and other priorities. The last time I flew I was practicing auto rotations and skidded in on the grass and tumbled it over and the helicopter has been setting ever sense in need of repair. Before I tumbled it over I had converted the 700N, LE to FBL DFC. New DFC 700 head, longer DFC tail boom and metal tail rotor. 710mm mains and I think 106mm tail blades. I don't recall if I changed gears but the list below is what I'm currently running. Still using the old OEM frames.

Engine: O.S. 91HZ
Engine gear: 20T
Main Drive Gear: 164T
Auto rotation tail drive gear: 150T
Front tail rotor drive gear: 33T
Short umbrella gear: 24T

My local hobby shop no longer carries Align helicopters or parts anymore so I'm having to go to the Align parts finder and get part numbers to order what I want. Looking online I also notice that there does not appear to be as many website selling parts for the Align helicopters anymore. So I'm looking for help as to the best places to order parts. I would like to update to the new stronger slanted gears but not sure what will work with my current frames & spacing? Just an average flyer looking for a little help if possible? I noticed the gear ratio's have changed from what I'm currently using. Can I update to the new slant gears and if so what ratio and gear part numbers do I use? Can I change out just the auto rotation gears or will I need to change all of the gears? A little tough to figure out the gear updates & changes after not being around the hobby for about two years.

Any help with this would be greatly appreciated, Thank you

Very strong helicopter you have!

If your main gear broke on the last crash... Get the slant.

But, if the main gear is OK, it is worthless and useless to change to slant main gear.

Put in other way, slant main gear is for electric class helicopter. Your os91 works fine with the main gear from stock.

If you want a good upgrade for your glow helicopter , look for strong clutch shoe.

Saludos cordiales,

Flying an older T-REX 700N, LE with DFC FBL conversion head and the longer DFC tail boom. I'm still using the old OEM frames & main drive gear 164 straight teeth & the 150 straight teeth auto rotation gear. I have the part number for the main drive gear (HN7019-1 & 2) and it can still be purchased. However I do not have a part number for the 150 tooth auto rotation gear. Can it still be purchased & what is the part number? I Looked on the align & BIWIX parts finder pages and this 150 tooth gear is not listed. My original T-REX 700N, LE manual also does not list the part number. Really would like to stay with the same auto rotation gear I'm currently using if possible? Any help with this part number would greatly be appreciated.
