DS12 channels?
On the DS12 basic.... you get 12 control inputs. But 8 channels. the 12 will work out of the box and are not software locked to open them up for use correct? I was wondering what you get without paying more money for the basic version.

Second, you get zero logical swithches. This means software switches right, that you have to pay money for to use? Nothing to do with the 12 control inputs correct? Thanks

Do You need to pay more money to open more channels with jeti?
Bad. Very bad! paying for 12 channels while getting a plain 8 channels transmitter.

Well, I think you must "pay the rest" and you will get the 12 channels you already buy.

That is what I love my 12Z.

Good points and zero logical swithes. Does anyone know how many logical switches you get with an Open TX transmitter? OR do you have to go and look up the specs to find out for each Transmitter from say Frsky, radiomaster and Jumper? I didnt know if they offer different numbers(grand total) or all the same. Thanks

Don't get hung up on channels. You are on a heli forum, so I have to assume you are going to fly a heli. In the mean time I am also going to assume you are going to fly, some type of 'pod & boom' (98-99% do) You will not use more than 6 channels. If you fly planes you will be hard pressed to use more that 8 channels (95% of flyers do not) Now if you are in the 1% or 5% ranges, seen above, see below.

As far as switches goes, you only need two for helis (TH & modes)

With the Basic you are buying a dumbed down 12 channel radio(High end) for less money. If you want all 12 channels, buy the standard not the basic, and you will spend more money for the high end radio.

This is the exact same thing with Mikado VBar NEO! If you want the market leader there are more options to be purchased. If you feel like you are being taken advantage of buy a less expensive radio. without options.

I would bet you have a real problem buying a new car. Welcome to capitalism!
