230Sor 330s
Hello, I am trying to decide between 330s or 230s. I have a 70s and have good control and orientation with it. I would like to skip the 230, and start with a the larger 330.Any advice?

Well... I like this little birds, to fly at the end of the day... When everybody is cleaning their things and leaving out the field camp...

Do a little more effort and think about series 450-550 RC helicopters!

I have both the 230S and the 330S.

The 230S I use for trainng those that are new to helis or rusty. I recommended the 230S to the guys at my local field. They crashed the 230S and it is very easy to put back and get in the air. The tail motor is a plus.

As for the 330S, I bought 3 and like it a lot. It's a great heli for those wanting to get into 3D. I recommended the 330S because it easy to repair after a mishap. Blade has taken the guess work on the flybarless controller programing and setup. I 3D this 330S and it is capable of doing the maneuvers.

After being idle for 12 years, this was my first heli I bought. I liked it a lot and bought 3.

Well I crashed the first one after many flights. So instead of repairing, I opt to get another since it was a cheap 3D heli that didn't break the bank. I crashed the 2nd and then ran into problems ordering parts. Covoid 19 didn't make it and easier. So I bought a 3rd 330S but it got backorder. Finally got parts for the 1st 330s, repaired it, flew it than gave it to my buddy. I am currently repairing the 2nd 330S.

As you can see, its a great little heli and I fly it inverted, backwards inverted, inverted hurricane, tail down funnels ... etc. This little heli can do ....

I’m back after 10 plus years and I in the same boat. I didn’t like the way the 230S flew and ended up with the 330S. I’m trying to make sure safe mode and recovery are working though as they seem to not be. I got the files off Spektrum website, but they seem to not be correct for the Safe modePerfect practice makes perfect

leejax01 I’m trying to make sure safe mode and recovery are working though as they seem to not be.
I "Inhibit" Stability in ALL flight modes. I could not fly the 330S with Stability. You need to gain access to the Forward Programing to make any changes.

When you setup the heli, bind for safe on before you change any travels for dual rates.. all must be at 100%.. then set your rates!!

I am hoping to buy a 330s and bypass the 230, and buy the new NX SERIES 6 channel transmitter. The transmitter is $310, so instead the $300, for the 230, I can buy the transmitter with forward programming. I could hover and move around at different orientations, a nitro raptor 30, 20 years ago,and like the larger 330 size. It also has safe and I feel that would be sufficient for me to learn slowly again.
