Kontronik Pyro Efficiency
Why does Kontronik list exact motor max. efficiencies like for instance 87 for the Micopyro or 91 for the 700 but when you get to the 750 size (a move to 14 pole) and bigger they only say greater than 90 (>90).

Besides, with competing motors in the 92-95% range, is Kontronik behind the curve or just more conservative in their ratings?

For an 800 sized machine, a 5% difference is like wasting enough energy to run a 450 heli.

And BTW it's 2020, buyers are more informed. Time for manufacturers to list information like Kt, Km, winding details, etc.

Kontronik is a very serious Brand.
So, probably they don't have enough information at this time about it. Being conservative is better than doing some kind of "bluffing" .

Looking at the Pyro-900-45 and the Lightning 4535 460. The german Pyro is competitive price-wise against the Chinese made Xnova, but I don't want to lose ~5% efficiency.

Have you tried the new eCalculators on the KONTRONIK website?

Yes, and the ecalc does not seem to make the case that they're any more efficient. And I'm think'in the 900 at 52V probably has an Io of ~ 11A, or close to 600W just in the free-wheeling alone...
