update issues
OK. Just updated my IKON2 BT. Now it doesn't light up(same cable) and won't connect to the software. Tried different cables, rebooting computer. Even have a brand new one in the pack and it connects with no issues. Any suggestions??

Go to the "Downloads" page of the MSH Electronics website:
https://www.msh-electronics.com/downloads/

Download the latest PDF "Recovery Procedure" and read it.

Recovery Procedure
Thanks rik.

Found this page yesterday. Made a jumper plug. Gonna work procedure this am.
**I saved a copy of this FBL setup. Will I be able to load this setup to the FBL and rebind it? Is this a common issue with updates?

Thanks for quick reply.

raholek ....Will I be able to load this setup to the FBL and rebind it?
Is this a common issue with updates?
a) The configuration values of the control unit are saved and are located in a different memory area from that of the Firmware. When updating or reloading the firmware, only the memory area of the firmware and not the memory area of the configuration values is written. This is also explained in the "Recovery Procedure" instructions.

b) No, it hardly ever happens, out of tens of thousands of units in use it happened in less than 0.01 % of cases. This is also explained at the beginning of the "Recovery Procedure" instructions with indications of what could cause this type of problem. However, this problem can be easily solved.
Updating the firmware of a smartphone, the BIOS of a PC, the firmware of a router or any other electronic product is always an operation that must be done with a minimum of care (battery full charged, good internet connection, no other application running, good usb cable, no interruptions until the end of the process, etc.).

Update on Update issues.
Well. Found my issue. It was not my IKON2 needing to be put into bootloader. It wasn't my cables. It is the plug inside the IKON. It loses connection if moved even a minute amount. Got connection and taped the cable to the boom. With this connection I was able to update the IKON2 and setup my Goblin,

My apologies to RIK about not finding this issue before posting for help.

However, I did chase every possible cable/wire on my heli looking for shorts. Wiring is much neater than before.

All's well that ends well.
Unfortunately there are USB cables in circulation that have really bad quality.
If the connector of your USB cable has false contacts when you plug it into the socket of Brain2, I suggest you to avoid locking it in the only position where it works with adhesive tape but to change it to avoid future problems and waste of time.
We all have several advanced USB cables in our homes from old smartphones, old tablets, or other devices that we no longer use. I suggest you to find one that has a correct working connector. Otherwise, given the low cost of buying a new one (usb cables for smartphones are now found everywhere even in hypermarkets).
