What Vario 4 blade head do you have that requires electronic phasing? (Or even any non standard mechanical phasing?)I have been very pleased with Bavarian Demon 3X, 3SX, and Axon systems.Sandy |

/First of all, no phasing problem with 4 blades rotor.
They are already in phase by construction, two by two.Well, a Vario machine.
Vbar is the one.BTW, four blades rotor generally, don't need flybarless controller./Saludos cordiales, |

I would say the popular brands in the market will work with the head fine.My Vario Skycrane runs fine with Futaba CGY. |

No Vario head has built in phasing. Some mechanics are set up to give phasing, but not the rotorheads. |

modtron i would be very interested in what you mean by this statement ? Well, IMO, it is like a rule of thumbs...When I found rotors with odd number of blades, phasing is a must thing to do. Very unstable behavior. But, when I found rotors with multiple pair of blades like 4 for example, it is a rotor very stable because of 90 degree precession.
The flybarless controller do a little effort in this cases. That is why I said you don't need flybarless controller with rotors with 4 blades, 6,8 and so on./Saludos cordiales, |

I guess this one has to be a little careful. My JR 3 blades head don't need phasing, but I remember I did the phasing setting in my CGY on my Vario Skycrane. |

/You need a flybarless controller for multi-blade rotorhead. It is like an insurance policy... You never know when you going to need it./Saludos cordiales, |

OK, lets try and make this a little clearer ....All rotor heads, regardless of the number of blades can be flown without any FBL system - BUT, you will need to learn to set it up correctly and more importantly, you will need to learn to fly it.By using a FBL system, you can afford to relax to a certain degree and actually enjoy your flying, rather than be on the edge all of the time."Phasing" is an adjustment that is made between the swashplate and the pitch arm on the rotor head.
Physics is a wonderful law that states with a rotating mass, the resulting output is 90 (in the direction of rotation) after the input control and you will never change this - Physics is Physics. |

I have a CGY-750 on my EC-145. It has been a bit of work to get it setup BUT.. with the help of Dr Ben, Gary Wright and a few others adding pointers.. it flys FANTASTIC!Setting up phasing was easy for me (Pro Modeler head)Before you say.. well.. if Futaba units are that much work........I could not/can not set up ANYTHING electronic well.. its just not me.. SO.. for me I have to rely on others to help me get them tuned. The flybarless stuff has been a MONSTER pain in my ass (I have flown and own 3 different kinds)..but when they are right.. they are just to good not to use, regardless of the amount of work needed to make them suit my flying style. My flying style is.. I personally only use Futaba 750's & 760's on anything from 2,3,4 & 5 blade systems - and they ALL work superbly - that's why I use nothing else, even though I also sell BD 3SX's & Axon's.
The set up is a breeze once you spend some time to understand it.This is a link to the large Vario Schwiezer 300 running a 750 at the weekend ......

I have just purchased an older Vario EC145 and after quite some research I picked an older CGY750 gyro because of the H4 swash capability, fingers crossed for the maiden soon Are there any links to your heli's flying on Youtube for eg? |
