IX12i to IX20 Migration (HELP!)
Tried to reach HH, but was on hold for almost 40 mins.
So...Gonna lean on my Heli community.

I figured out how to use bluetooth and transfer all my models from the 12 to the new IX20. Everything appears to have moved radios.
But the models are bound to the IX12.

So....my question: If I bind my Helis to the transferred files on my new radio and do flight checks. Will this work or do I need to go through each model and walk through setup again?

I love to build, but dread the FBL setups.

**Little help, Snarky remarks or general Banter welcome.

Thanks in advance RR crew.

I think you asking to much from a spektrum gadget.

It is very powerful to transfer files from old TX to new ones.

But, as a good and safe practice, we need to check every model to see if everything is working OK... I mean failsafe position and other things.

Cautious
I feel the same way.
After transfer of the models, I found that they have to be rebound.
After binding 2 planes and testing trim, the planes are fine. The heli will have to be checked out in the FBL software.
Was hoping to avoid the unavoidable. Asking alot of the device, but it does so much. Guess that is too much.

Thanks again.

It is always a task consuming time to setup a model from scratch...

With this 90% done, you only need to check the 10%...

So, good feature!

Binding is having the receiver memorize the GUID which is a unique address burned into a chip on the transmitter. So yes, when you move the model to a different transmitter it will have a different GUID and you will have to bind it. Everything should work as before because the spm files contain the sub trim and everything else setup in the transmitter but yes, always give it a good check that everything is centered and moving the right directionAndy
