If you are looking for an "inverted" flight mode like used to be used in the early days you won't find one on any modern radio. That setup practice has not been employed for some time now.

Set your curves in stunt1 and stunt2 with 0 degrees of pitch at 1/2 stick.."centered"..going in the positive direction "up"get between 10-12 degrees positive pitch ;then below half stick get the same amount of pitch but negative..you might have to tweak it a little after you fly it..so when you fly the heli right side up your collective stick will be above center..when your'e inverted your collective stick will be below center..they call it switchless inverted..hope that helps!I do a great decending funnel!

Really!! There is me thinking this a a sophisticated radio but it can’t do a mix to reverse the elevator/rudder/pitch like my older futaba radios can do, I have been racking my brain reading the manual and thinking am I missing something here it can’t be that hard surely , but if that’s the case that’s disappointing.

Oh yeah..you will want to make sure your cyclic servo arms are as close to level at 0 degrees (so you have equal travel at Center stick).. trust me you will come to like it!I do a great decending funnel!

The pitch and throttle curves is ok, it’s the rudder and elevator which I can’t reverse

There's a servo reverse menu in your radio..if you reverse your rudder servo direction..be sure to check that your rudder gyro is compensating in the right direction..you can check that on the bench before you try to fly it!I do a great decending funnel!

It sounds like you need a hands on helibuddy to help you get it setup..we all needed that in the beginning..it all seems so complicated at first..find someone in your area to help you get'er going!I do a great decending funnel!

First of all, to fly in inverted, you don't need to reverse anything on your radio!!!

To fly in inverted, you only need to have a negative pitch on your pitch curve and also you need to have motor working properly in inverted on your throttle curve and of course, a set of balls for no hurt yourself or anybody while doing this!

In order to do such a fly in inverted, you need to be familiar with operating switches on your radio.

So, don't worry... I have seeing 3D pilots who know nothing about radio programming.

look on your instruction manual how to do such programming...

Take notes and share with us when you got stuck..
Take pics of radio screen...

No way I am going to try inverted with reverse elevator and rudder control my skill level is not that high, I am just disappointed in this radio that I can’t program it to do what I want, but I do have my trusty Futaba Zap radio which has the invert feature.

Well..you can do whatever you want but the reason Mike Mass pioneered switchless inverted flying was to make it more seamless and to allow more aerobatic maneuvers..I can say with great confidence that no helipilots fly with an invert switch..it's just the way it's done..but to each his own!I do a great decending funnel!

Does your JR 12X have a “nose in” switch? No, have you learned to fly “nose in”? If so, you can just as easily learn to fly inverted without a “inverted switch”.

If you can not perform any flights flying towards you, it may be best to not try inverted flight yet. But if you can, flying inverted is a similar learning experience to flying towards yourself, or nose in hovering.

Just my 2 cents worth....

I would not dispute any 3d expert I have a lot of respect in what they do, but coming from a Futaba radio which has this easy to program feature and make my life a lot easier to fly inverted to a Radio which supposedly is 15 years ahead of my Futaba thinking it would have more programming features is a real disappointing.

If you decide to donate your JR12x, send me a PM.
We will be very happy to have this powerful transmitter.

I would appreciate if you decide such a thing.

It’s a shame because it is a quality radio I am still going through the programming features to see if there is a way round this before I decide what I am going to do with it.

So you want to hover "inverted" but you don't want to "learn" how to hover inverted...hmmm.
I'm sorry to disappoint you but that is part of the hobby,"learning" how to control your heli. Many people have learned to control their heli so they can hover/fly inverted, even the elderly that have delved into this hobby have learned to fly inverted.Enjoy/experience the hobby for what it truly is.
By the way, that JR12X radio is a great radio there's nothing to be disappointed about that radio,it's a high end radio not a "crutch".

I have come on here to ask for constructive advice on how to program my JR radio , I don’t really care how anyone else flies or uses there radio, I enjoy what I do and how I do it, I do have 2 old Futaba radios the VHP set and the ZAP set both do the inverted flight which (I LIKE!). I am trying to emulate the same settings on my JR set but not succeeding, but it seems certain individuals want to criticise, please if you can’t help with what i am asking don’t come on here telling me how I should fly and how others fly.

Dear fireblade918, I am sorry you feel the way you do, I can only speak for myself, but I am sure all responders were only trying to help you. I know that is why I posted.

IF you are successful in your desired 12X programming, or if you use your older Futaba systems, AND you are using a electronic fbl system, I THINK bad things may happen if some control inputs are instantly reversed. I believe with a fbl system in the loop you will loose control of the model.

Please be careful.
