Blade nano s2 Shooting up in 3d mode
Hi Guys,
I have blade nano s2 and DX8G2 transmitter
all my hovering skills are quite good in sports flying mode. now as soon as i go in 3D mode (stunt 2 on my spektrum DX8G2), the S2 goes flying high on the ceiling non stop! these are the settings as per the manual that came with it. see attached. is there anything wrong in it? in the 3D why does it sky rocket!? the pitch is not controllable. and since its always going up i can;t even hover in 3D mode. and if i cant hover, i cant do a 3D flip even!
can you shed some light on this?

iS these settings correct? why does my heli shoot to the ceiling even when the throttle stick is at mid point!

Thanks in advance

I don’t have that heli or radio but your throttle curve is set to 100 % at all of your points in the curve so the heli is doing exactly what that curve calls for .

Try changing your curve to the same numbers you see on your pitch curve .....

ok here's the thing. I feel when I do negative, the servo arm does not go down in 3d mode. so what can be the issue? the pitch curve in 3D mode should be 100,75,50,75,100 right?

I don’t think it’s a pitch range issue , I think it’s a problem with the throttle curve . Like I say , I’ve never owned that heli.

I can tell you , though, that if you switch to 3D with the throttle set to 100 across the board , any heli will take off vertically like a home sick angel !!

JuanRodriguez I think it’s a problem with the throttle curve
It would be easier to see if a regular servo was plugged into the throttle output instead of the ESC.

With a servo plugged in it should peg to one side as the throttle curve is calling for 100% throttle .....Been there, done that and old enough to know better.....

ok this is the problem actually, I know my throttle curve amounts to 100 for all the 5 points. I understand that. but when I make the throttle stick (pitch) move down, it should move the back servo arm down. that does not happen. it happens with the RTF transmitter I received with it but with DX8, I tried all the settings but it does not bring the servo arm down when I put the throttle stick down.

Maybe your swash setting (type) in the setup menu is not right ??

I’m just guessing.....

Ok guys I finally fixed it. In the manual it says to put the throttle curve in 3d mode as 100,100,100,100,100.
actually it should be 0,25,50,75,100 and it started to give me negative pitch!! so even in 3d mode, it should be 0,25,50,75,100 and it works fine. of course you can adjust the power according to your requirements, like I have put in 20,45,50,65,80 and its great!
