O.S. GT15HZ II Helicopter Gasoline Engine
Good day...has anyone used or is using this O.S. engine for their helicopter... If so does it perform well,consistantly what are the pros / cons and what helicopter kit / mechanics are you using or have used...?

Well... If you are running away from glow engine, be careful with this gas engine.
It is a "good looking" guy but it is not a good choice.

It is a 90 class engine.
Heavy, difficult for tune-up, run very hot, not for newbies.

Original engine had a issue with connecting rod.

Then, OS give us an upgrade piston but forgot about upgrade also the clip on piston pin. Very bad.

CDI from OS is strong. HV. Spark plug good.

Spark plug cap is straight. The silicon inside fail after a few flights. Very bad.

It give you about 60 flights with a good care. Then, you need to change piston ring.
Very, very bad.

At this time, I love my YS91ST glow engine.

The OS15hz is a Good paperweight on my desk... It is waiting for a piston Ring and a second chance...
