OS DRS Check Valve Line Length...
OK. This question may have been asked and answered before but I can't find it...

I'm curious what length line people use from the motor backplate to the check valve. OS's users manual for the 1.05 says that the length of line from the pressure nipple in the back plate to the check valve is supposed to be ~10cm (or about 4 inches). I've always run mine closer to 15mm. 10cm is nearly half way to the tank on most models. The 15mm I use barely clears the backplate.

Has anyone played with this? Does the length of this line influence the carburetor settings or engine tuning?

Any thoughts?

OS paperwork for the DRS system shows "silicone tubing approx. 10cm" on the system drawing. I have always used that length. The check valve is the exact same part as YS uses. On the YS if you change this tubing length too much it effects how the engine runs, this may not be the case with OS as the two systems do not work the same.

To avoid problems, use silicon tubing with more wall thickness and secure every fitting.

The more wall thickness, the better. You can run larger distance without losing the "kicking" effect.
