I am in the UK now. I had a Roban 800 Bell 222 Mercy Air. I bought several parts a few times from scaleflying.de recently, no problem at all. They went quiet with the Covid-19 but still shipped quickly, just didn't tell me they had. They have a shipping cost table on the website for weight / Zone. That's what they charged me each time.

After a big retracts rebuild I did a test hover and got a wheel snagged in the grass. 1 sec rollover and BOOM just blue and white pieces. All my fault. Mechanics were fine except for the main shaft and blades.

So I asked scaleflying.de about a new fuselage only. They said contact Roban, and they said no. Can only buy a complete Heli. Also, the mechanics are a bit different from fuselage to fuselage, so would take some work to customise what I had. I didn't want another heli with retracts so no more Bell 222. Otherwise I could have bought a complete one and used my mechanics as spares, which would have been something.

So I am going down the TRex / Fun-Key route as well.
Probably a 600 size in the FUNKEY Scale Fuselage AS350 Ecureuil (A- Star) .50 (600) size Kit.

The Roban 800 is an impressive size, with loads of details, but I found it dominated my workshop, I knocked bits off going through regular doorways, tricky in and out of the car and a lug to the Pits from the car park. If I had a garage, garage door, truck and could park at the Pits - life would be very different.

Sorry to hear about your tip over, that's what I like about the big Hughes 500, nice wide landing gear, very stable but they can tip over as well
My buddy has the 700 Apache and he is worried about tipping it over, it has the wheels hanging down and is very narrow, he is only hovering around right now.

Fitting the newer trex mechs into the funkey fuselages can be challenging. All of the newer trex stuff is designed for 3d. So the elevator servo sticks out, the mast is short, and the tail rotor control rod is carbon. But they make really reliable mechs once you get them shoe horned into the fuse.

If a person doesn't mind waiting, you can order a Roban 600 fuselage and a set of their Flasher 600 mechanics on their combo drop down page at Scaleflying.de, you can even order the whole pkg, servos, motor, ESC, fuselage and the mechanics, gets kind of pricey but at least you know it all fits, you will have to wait a month or so to get it, my OH-6 is on the way, it left Germany on the 14th, so hopefully soon.D. Thanks !
Yup. I have a MD500 Fun-Key / TRex 600 and it handles the grass MUCH better.
