Very good!

Time now to think about the muffler.

Century torpedo slim v2
Hatori
Zimmerman
Zenoah stock muffler

A good muffler will give the best performance... Don't forget this little detail...

PUH format is the right one for your heli.
Remember to look for the fan shroud... This motor will run very hot..!!!

Gasser without a governor works very bad. Futaba gv-1 is the best choice. Gasser motor tends to overspeed and no other governor take care about this issue the way gv-1 does.

Stator gator or magnet sensor on fan or flywheel... Think about it.

Yep But I have bought a Walbro WT-990-1, so I'll see how that goes.. Anyway. I assembled the gasser frame, and since I don't like the plastic servo frame that the gasser uses, so I intend to mate this Graphite se one to the gasser frame.. Should be easy because they are the same width at the top. However, I'll have to use four spacers at the bottom because the bottom of the gasser frame is wider. But it'll be easy as pie (x-cell gasser with a se front end)..

Also, I'll fit this nice upgrade too (Bought it from Chris on eBay) He supplied me with all the gasser parts that I'll need.. I'm on my way to my first gasser heli..

Just love the smell of white gas...

Oh!!! No problem at all.

Same crankcase.
Same crankshaft.
Same spark plug.
Same fan shroud.
Different cylinder head & piston but Same external dimension.
Same Carburator.
Same muffler.
Same flywheel.

It is depending upon the Carburator type.

Some carbs have one feeding line. So, you need a vent line on tank and a filler line that could be the same feeding line.
So, tank with two lines.

Some carbs have one feeding line and a returning line. So, you need also a vent line on Tank and a filler line that could be the same feeding line.
So, tank with three lines.

The vent line need to have a check valve at the end, like motorcycle gas tank.
Your wife is going to celebrate that. ( no stinking gas heli)

My Carb has 2 lines (feeding line and a returning line), so I can fill using the feeding line eh???..

That's great news. I just need the cylinder, piston and ring.. Anyway can't built the motor till the pu crankcase arrives.. I do have the rest though (23cc)... But I am fitting ceramic "ball" bearings instead of the steel ones.. (The ball cage is steel though)..

Yes! I prefer this type of carb with the prime bulb.
The easiest way to Choke the carb!

You can install two T&filter on both feeding and returning line, in order to feed in and pull out the gas, properly.

You only need to run the third line, the vent line from tank, because this tank is not suppose to run pressurize.
The check valve must be pointing to the ground near the front landing skid.

Install a proper check valve on this vent line.

Nope Darn I got the measurement for a 26cc cylinder, and it will not fit my pu crankcase. The 44mm is correct but not the rest. Mine is 44mm, 36mm, 34mm, so I would have to get this crankcase..

https://www.davesmotors.com/zenoah-...ase-puh-pum-pu. Mine is # 1155-21101. Different part number..

So, according to your explanation, There are two different PUH crankcase for zenoah 23,26,29 ?...

Wow... I was lucky. I did such a conversion from 23cc to 26cc and didn't realize that problem.

Yep you was very lucky having the correct crankcases, so I'm gonna stick with the 23cc (Have spare parts).. I was going to buy the cylinder and piston but asked the seller for the measurements and that's how I found out that it ain't going to work with my crankcases unless I buy the new crankcases.. Oh well.. (My crankcases are new too)..

correct distant
Guys I'm gonna drill the holes , so I can fit the magnets to the aluminum fan. But I don't know how far out (from the middle) should I go (60 size is 41.1mm out from the center).. Anyone know. You see I bought this kit to fit the senser.. Drill the hole is the easy part.. Getting the correct distant is harder by guessing.. I don't want make more holes trying to get it right (aluminum fan wasn't cheap)...

OH for my x-cell gasser..

The first thing you need to solve prior to making holes on the aluminum fan is to be sure where the sensor is going to be installed.
When you solved this sensor spot, then take the measurement to drill the holes...
The distance from center to holes is not relevant to calculate rpm...

The gap between magnet and sensor is a width of a credit card.

http://manuals.hobbico.com/fut/gv-1-manual.pdf

The Manual suggests 22.0-24.0mm from the fan centre on a 30 size and 27.1-28.8mm from the fan centre on a 60 size.

I imagine this difference is all due to the GV-1 requires a pulse width of a particular value to be reliable and the pulse width varies with engine RPM. The 30 size is a higher revving engine so the magnet is closer to the centre of the fan. If you cannot find a magnet position for the Gas Engine listed somewhere, I would suggest starting somewhere around 34-35mm from Ctr, based on the reduction of the Max RPM from the 30 to 60 to Gas....

Check you get the polarity of the magnet correct as the GV-1 only senses on 1 Magnetic Pole. If you are drilling the fan, I also suggest drilling behind a fan blade, to stop the magnet dropping right through, and I remember we fitted 2 magnets in opposition to balance the fan correctly (these magnets were then glued in with their Pole polarities opposite.)

If you cannot get this distance from the centre, can you place 2 magnets back at around 21mm from centre but this time glued in with pole polarity similar giving 2 pulses for each RPM..

Opps...!

Remember... This recomentation are for glow engines... A very different situation with the PUH zenoah engine.

For this gasser, you need to see where the sensor is going to be installed.

There are two spots... One near the carb, the other near the muffler.

I prefer the spot near the carb.

Guys.. I decided to go with a Stator Gator Gasoline Governor Sensor instead. I was able to get one here on RR. No magnet is needed.. But if it does bad I won't be able to get a spare one. Because this senser is discontinued, I think..
