LHS 600
Hello all, I have always wanted to try this LHS thing so here is what I'm currently running:

I have a Trex 600E. I'm running the "stock gearing" with a 15T Pin, and 1000Kv Suppo motor, 100 amp Turnigy Plush 32bit ESC, 6s 7000mah Tattu 25c Batterys. I'm using 92mm Radix tail blades with the GY401 gyro gain at 61%, 600mm Radix mains (non FBL Blades). I'm running 85% flat TC (personal preference). I want to keep a flat curve for this LHS project. I'm guessing somewhere between 75% flat up through 80% max. I have a 10,11,14, and 16T pin gears. I have the Grey Dampers in the head and gonna change back to the plastic blade grips (stock #H60003T-2 K1005). My biggest fear here is getting the LHS "Wobble" of which I don't want. Does anybody have advice on what combination is gonna get me closer to my goal....?? Thank You.

Ok... That is my question.
Trex600E stock ratio is 8.6

Very difficult to hover at low speed.

Saludos cordiales,

As I believe they originally came with a 10T and 11T pin gear. But the stock motor was a 1650kv. You see I swapped the motor for a 1000Kv to get a LHS and put it in a scale fuselage which I still plan to do. I just thought, maybe, I could possibly get the head speed lower for a more scale head speed and sound. But from the sounds of it, it's not looking promising. I was hoping to at least go down to a 11T or 12T pin gear. As it stands now I have experimented with head speed with the rigid head (metal blade grips, grey head dapers) and you get the LHS "wobble". I just figured by going back to the plastic blades grips that were on the Heli when I bought it, would soften the cyclic around center stick and allow me to get a LHS and eliminate the "wobble". I get no "wobble" now at 85% TC.

Here is what I would do, run a 12T pinion at 100% throttle (best efficiency) which should give you 1500-1600 rpm. To soften the dampeners further you could trim them down with a Stanley knife or use thinner shim washers so they aren't compressed as much.

Have you tachoed the actual head speed? It could be lower than you expect due to weak batteries?
60% of the time, it works every time!
