Vario and Axon
I have a question for those that use the Bavarian Demon Axon FBL control unit. In the set up, it states that the tail should have zero degrees for initial setup. However, the Vario tail has an offset built in to give some deflection with the arm at 90 degrees.

My question is, should I ignore this or reset the tail to 0?

Ignore what you are seeing as this is primarily for use with 3D heli's.

Set the neutral of the tail servo with the arm at 90 degrees to the body, then adjust the length of the tail pushrod to get the tail bell crank arm parallel with the tail output shaft.
This will then set the tail blades to virtually the correct neutral position.
Then you can adjust the travel / range to suit in the gyro menu.
