Changing between Rate Mode and Heading Hold What settings do I need to set for the Rudder Gyro to allow me to flip between Rate Mode and Heading Hold? Can I assign a switch on my transmitter to do this with the EBar or does this have to be done from the programming unit? |

/You can do this by use of a switch on your radio. Yes, you need to assign this two functions to a switch.But... Be aware that in normal mode, the setting must be done in order to be consistent the neutral point in both HH and normal mode.By neutral point I mean, no drift so, by the time you flip the switch your tail don't kick in any direction. In most of the gyros, you memorice the neutral position by flipping between HH and normal mode several times, while you are in hover. / |

/My comments...First...The gyro gain is "map" to your transmitter via gear channel. So, the tail gain is already in your transmitter, probably on channel 5. You move tail gain from 0 to 100 but always in Lock mode or Heading hold or heading lock.Second...Ebar instruction manual said nothing about rate mode or normal mode. The instruction manual said that tail gyro gain is controlled by "remote transmitter".I think there is no way to work in rate mode with this gyro.But... I would be doing a test. How I recognize tail is in rate mode? The neutral position is fixed. In HH the tail position is indeterminate.I will be doing adjustment to the tail gain on transmitter till the tail behavior change to rate mode./ |
