R7008SB & TJPro
Hi all, I could use a little help with a setup problem, I’m trying to replace the R617Fs on my RJX50 with an R7008SB using my T14SG on Faastest14. FBL unit is a Microbeast V3 connected to Sbus port 8 which works fine. When I connect the Throttle Jockey to receiver port 3 and aux to port 7 the throttle servo goes mad - jittering like crazy. Whatever am I doing wrong???
Thanks in advance
Rob.

Hi Rob,

Way back there was an issue with the the high speed receivers (R6008 & R6014) and the throttle jockeys. At the time Model Avionics upgraded the unit, to accommodate the Rx.

They are still doing the upgrade to accommodate the Futaba high speed receivers http://www.modelavionics.com/ThrottleMax.asp

I can’t remember all the detail to id the various units, however I am certain the throttle jockey doesn’t support the high speed rx. Even by setting the rx up in low speed mode didn’t resolve the matter.

Will work perfect on a R617 etc. low speed Rx.

Contact Kurt, he’ll upgrade the unit out, he was always helpful.

According to the manual, the 7008SB does not support "HighSpeed" mode - so you need to tart looking elsewhere ?

Good point.

According to instruction manual, 7008sb and 617, the only difference is one is fasstest and the other is fasst.

https://usermanual.wiki/Futaba/R7008SB-24G/amp

So, the problem must be from another issue.

Update:- so I swapped the TJ for an Align RCE-G600 and the jittering has gone, only bench tested so far but the setup was seamless so I’m confident that the TJ was the culprit. I’ve sent an email to Kurt at Model Avionics and will update again if he replies.
Thanks for your help guys.
