Has Forum Traffic Actually Slowed Down During Lockdown?
It seems backwards to me, but it appears forum traffic has actually slowed down recently. I live on a mostly quite golf course - but recently, with the "lock down", there are times it looks like a LA freeway. With nothing to watch on TV and more time than ever, people seem to be getting in their cars and playing golf.

It's just the opposite hear on RR and other places I visit.

What is going on? Is it possible we are all spending more time doing things and less time talking about them? Are you flying more? Spending more time in the shop? Working on your garden/lawn or home projects? Sorting that last model you built?

With more time have you grown tired of the internet as entertainment?

Or are you working more than ever and this "social distancing" hasn't effected you?

With more free time, why is forum traffic down?

Actually since the March lock downs traffic is up a bit. The problem is the typical RR user is a bit more mature and thus posts a bit less. Akin to the profile of the so-called silent majority.

Cool data. It clearly shows an uptick in users. Is that people visiting the site? Is that people logging in or does it include lurkers? Do you have data for post count?

It's encouraging that traffic is up even if people don't log on or post. It suggests to me that people are flying models more during the lock-down and coming here to search for answers or just catch up on reading.

The graph is all users visiting logged in or not. See RR stats for post counts.

Wow. No one has called me "mature" in a long time. "Old Fart" is what I hear most often.....The older I get, the fewer things seem worth waiting in line for.
