Hi, guys, I am looking to build an LHS 500 size helli, what head speed should I be aiming for with 425mm main blades.
P.S. sorry for the spelling or the grammar I am dyslexic!

You would have to experiment but I would think you could go down as low as 1500ish. Depends how you want to fly it. The Trex 500X with it's 470mm blades would be ideal to run on 3s 5000 packs at 100% throttle, should run around 1500 rpm and probably good for 15 minute flights.60% of the time, it works every time!

I got an older 500 with 425mm blades, I did some calculation the other day and I think 1500 RPM is a little too slow for 425s, I was thinking 4S 4000ma would be good and even 5S if I wanted a bit more performance, but for now, I am going to get it flying with the STD 6s just to see how it flys and I will see later if I try the LHS set.P.S. sorry for the spelling or the grammar I am dyslexic!

Maybe 1700 might work then. But we used to 3D the old Trex 500's pretty hard at 2500 rpm. We also used to change the pinion out for a 12T, I think stock was 13T.60% of the time, it works every time!
