Masks do not do anything and I refuse to wear one. The devil is in the details and masks only make some people feel better. Most experts say masks are not effective. First the experts said, not to wear one, then they said to wear one, then again they said not to wear one. They cannot make up their mind. I see people wearing them in their cars, walking down the street by them selves. Sheeple!!! I will let you puts a mask on and I will spray Lysol in front of you, and you will be able to smell it. Covid is much smaller than Lysol. Next I see people adjusting they masks constantly, with their bare hands then touch something and touch the mask, it is a breading ground for moisture and germs. Masks were designed for surgeons to keep the wound area in a patient sterile so they did not spit in them. Healthy people do not need one, and if you need one STAY home. Fauci & Brix need to be fired!

"It is known that the N95 mask, if worn for hours, can reduce blood oxygenation as much as 20%, which can lead to a loss of consciousness, as happened to the hapless fellow driving around alone in his car wearing an N95 mask, causing him to pass out, and to crash his car and sustain injuries Editor; Could be consided a Corona injury. I am sure that we have several cases of elderly individuals or any person with poor lung function passing out, hitting their head. This, of course, can lead to death." BTW; It is NO LONGER a free country. Consider how many of our constitutional rights that have been trampled on and thrown in the trash bin the past 3 months A federal just ruled Friday, that a pandemic does not overrule the constitution.

The mask is not to protect yourself against COVID. It is to minimize the risk of exposure of people around you. The guidelines were changed when the number of cases increased significantly. If you are infected, but not symptomatic, you could infect others. The mask you would be wearing will not "capture" each and every viral particle. However, it will reduce the viral load people next to you will be exposed to. The mask is particularly useful when you cannot maintain a safe distance (6 feet). Far from ideal but we have to do it till we have an approved therapy::vaccine.
if each and every person wears one when needed we will see results. If you are alone, no need to wear one. If you are healthy you should wear one when you might come in contact with someone else though. Due to the incubation period you really do not know your COVID status. These are desperate measures, but this whole thing requires them.
Back at work. We still have a long way to go. We need a plan for our "new normal". We just cannot go about our business as usual like nothing is happening. We sure cannot keep the world closed either.

^^^ Correct. Be macho and not wear a mask but if you don't, you are not helping others. It is meant to prevent you from spreading your virus to others - not the other way around. The only way it may help you personally is as a reminder not to touch your face with dirty hands.

Small business can open and operate safely if everyone wore a mask and cleaned hands. Small sacrifice to get the economy going.

This was written by my wife's doctor located in Houston. I know we have a bunch of tin foil hat wearers reading this post (AKA Sheeple) and they are going to say "we must all wear out face masks" (How can I make them sound like whiners. in type) Many will not even take the time to read this short letter. Hurry the sky is falling and you may be the one hit by the meteorite!!!

The Coronaviris Scam
Steven Hotze, MD

The coronavirus Covid-19 “plandemic” is the greatest fraud ever perpetrated upon the American public. It is a political “plandemic,” not a medical one. Sadly, most Americans have swallowed the bait, hook, line and sinker. We have never responded to a virus like this before. Why are we doing this now?

Government health bureaucrats, using faulty data and disease projection models, have intentionally created irrational fear and mass hysteria. This fear was fed by the fake news media and by politicians who have acted like tin- pot dictators. This manufactured crisis is all about power, control and mone
Once you get the majority of people to operate on the basis of fear, they will gladly exchange their constitutional liberties for the delusion of safety offered to them by the politicians and civil government officials. They end up with neither. The politicians and civil government become all powerful, take control and dictate the actions of the masses.

The purpose of civil government is not to protect your health. The purpose of civil government is to protect your rights. You are in charge of protecting your own health.

Fear Is Unwarranted

Since the beginning of the coronavirus scare, I have been pointing out that the fear that has gripped our society is completely unwarranted. As of May 19, 2020, according to data reported by the Texas Department of State Health Services the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), 1,369 Texans have died with a confirmed or presumptive diagnosis of COVID-19. The odds of any Texan dying of COVID-19 is 1 in 28,000. According to National Geographic, your lifetime chance of being struck and killed by lightning is 1 in 3,000.1 This means that you are nine times more likely to die from a lightning strike than from this coronavirus.

COVID-19 is a de minimis cause of illness and death. Contrary to reports by government health bureaucrats, COVID-19 is not highly contagious. There have only been 5 million confirmed cases of COVID-19 worldwide. The annual flu infects nearly 1 billion individuals worldwide.

If you are worried about a virus that is trivial when compared to other diseases and causes of death, then you are allowing mass hysteria and delusion to rule your life.

United States Deaths Attributable (Not Confirmed) to COVID-19 Reported to the CDC as of May 19, 20202
DEATHS
United States 90,340
Texas 1,369

Just look at this list of annual and average daily deaths to get a perspective on this “plandemic.”
Total number of deaths of all causes in the United States in 2019: 2,813,503 deaths, 7,708/day, as reported by the CDC

Iatrogenic (caused by medical treatment): 780,000 deaths/year, 2,136/day (reported in Death by Medicine by Gary Null, M.D.)
Heart Disease: 650,000 deaths/year, 1,772/day
Cancer: 600,000 deaths/year, 1,650/day
Traffic Deaths: 37,000 deaths/year, 100/day
Traffic Injuries: 2.35 million/year, 6,438/day
Lung Infections: 160,000 deaths/year, 438/day
Stroke: 146,000 deaths/year, 400/day
Alzheimer’s: 121,000 deaths/year, 332/day
Alcohol Related: 88,000 deaths/year, 241/day
Diabetes: 84,000 deaths/year, 230/day
Flu: An average of 50,000 deaths/year, 278/day (During flu season, Oct. 1-Mar. 31)
Kidney Disease: 51,000 deaths/year, 140/day
Suicides: 47,000 deaths/year, 129/day
Abortions: 800,000 deaths/year, 2,192/day
Opioid/Narcotic Overdoses: 47,000 deaths/year, 129/day
HIV/AIDS: 56,500 new cases/year, 155/day
Venereal Disease (VD) Infections (gonorrhea, syphilis and chlamydia):
2.4 million cases/year, 6,575/day

Look at the number of new venereal disease infections on the chart, 2.4 million per year or 6,575 a day. So, why hasn’t the CDC recommended that everyone be tested for VD and AIDS, and quarantine those who test positive? Following the distorted thinking of the half-witted government health bureaucrats, I am amazed that they have not banned sexual relations and fine anyone who violates the ban $1,000 and six months in jail.

Alcohol-related problems led to 88,000 deaths in 2019, 241 a day. Think of the enormous health and psychological damage that alcohol causes. Why haven’t these government health bureaucrats called for a new prohibition on alcohol?

Why haven’t they banned cigarette smoking? They are not going to do that, because they want to give everybody the opportunity to smoke wacky tobacky. The sin taxes provide a lot of revenue for the politicians and bureaucrats.

Think of the 37,000 traffic deaths and 2.3 million traffic injuries. This is a huge public health problem which could be solved by dropping the speed limit to 5 mph or just by reverting to horses and carriages, bicycles and walking.

So, you see this “plandemic” is not about public health at all. It’s all about gaining power and control over your lives. This is right out of the communist playbook. Read Saul Alinsky’s Rules for Radicals, in which he extols Lucifer as the first great rebel.

This coronavirus is just another run-of-the mill respiratory virus. Eighty percent of people who get COVID-19 have only mild flu-like symptoms, at worst, and 25% of them are completely asymptomatic.

Serious, life-threatening respiratory infections almost exclusively affect the infirm and debilitated elderly, who have serious preexisting
medical conditions, such as congestive heart failure, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, emphysema, diabetes, stroke and Alzheimer’s disease, among others.

The average age of death from COVID-19 is approximately 80 years, and a large proportion of deaths due to COVID-19 have occurred in nursing homes—72% of all COVID-19 deaths in New Hampshire and 67% in Pennsylvania.

The primary reason individuals are placed in nursing homes by their families is because they have had a significant decline in their health and were unable to be properly cared for at home. The average nursing home patient lives less than two and a half years after they are admitted. Twenty-two percent of all deaths of Americans occur in nursing homes. Nursing homes effectively function as “hospice-lite.”

More Harm Than Good

The lockdown, which includes social distancing, quarantining and shutting down businesses, schools, churches and public gatherings, only delays and extends the spread of coronavirus infection, because it prevents the development of natural herd immunity among the population.

The lockdown is being promoted by government health bureaucrats who are trying to condition individuals to accept mandatory vaccinations with nanochips and immunity-tracking cards. People have shown that they will readily accept the loss of their constitutional rights and liberties in the vain hope that the government will make them safe and secure from disease and death. How foolish!

How pitiful it is to operate one’s life based on fear of man or of germs! We should operate our lives in the fear of the Lord. Confidence about the future is found in the fear of God.
“In the fear of the Lord there is strong confidence.” (Proverbs 14:26) We should live our lives by faith and not by fear. “For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, and love, and a sound mind.” (2 Timothy 1:7)
Having a sound mind means using common sense.

Wear a mask, don't wear a mask, your choice. And yes as Texans, you still have the freedom to make that choice.

'Under Abbott’s order, Texans are encouraged to wear face coverings but local governments aren’t allowed to fine or jail people for failing to do so.'

As for me and my family, we choose to do so.

We have a hospital on every street corner in Houston. You can trip over a curb and fall into one.

Unlike NYC that shuts them down to turn them into more profitable apartments. If you take the top 3 states NY, NJ, MA. The rest of the country has fewer deaths that these 3 states combined. Apparently you didn't read it TX has had 1300 deaths out of 30 million people. The US does not have a problem 3 states do.

The sheeple will follow the piper no mater what. Look at the glaze in their eyes.
Facts & figures mean nothing to them. They have an agenda and to not sway.

I look at the numbers 20 times a day and see our patients. I also talk to my colleagues at Baylor nearly every week. If it wasn't because of the dramatic measures we will have large number of cases everywhere. The current number of deaths despite all the measures should be enough to convince everybody. Anyways, here I go with my hat and my mask. We have a job to do. Remember, and I quote, we rise or fall together; and we are determine to rise.

Stolen from someone else, but worth while posting here?

From the beginning of this pandemic there were conspiracy theories and most or all seemed pretty stupid. I like a conspiracy as much as anyone but I’m not going to jump on a crazy train. However in the past week or two I have more and more unanswered questions. We’ve seen handfuls of YouTube videos and interviews with doctors that strongly contradict what we are being told. Are all of these doctors wrong? Hmmm. Well here is a list of questions (not mine) to compliment my own questions - something’s very fishy!
Everyone should be asking these questions! 👇🏼
These are the important questions folks need to be asking themselves:
1. Why can you go to Walmart but not Kohl's?
2. Why the Dollar store and not a mom-and-pop shop?
3. Why can't you have an elective surgery, but you can have an abortion which is elective?
4. Why should you stay inside but yet heat and sunlight kill the virus?
5. Why can't kids (who are not at risk) play on an outdoor playground, where sun kills this virus?
6. Why don't people know that these are "recommendations" not laws because they have not gone through due process?
7. Why is it okay for government officials to get a haircut, but not common citizens?
8. Why the fear, when this virus has a less than 1% death rate?
9. Why have coroners questioned death certificates listed as CV-19?
10. Why are areas like Chicago and NY gearing up for mass vaccination?
11. What makes one person essential and another not?
12. Doesn't shelter at home; mean there is a whole population of people, not staying home so we can?
13. Why are they dividing us?
14. How do people not know that we are a Republic, not a democracy?
15. Where has the flu gone?
16. Why do the homeless consistently demonstrate the lowest infection rates?
17. Why are they telling us to mask up after 2 months of lock down?
18. Why is the CDC saying kids need to be masked when they return to school or attend church, when they know cloth masks restrict oxygen?
19. What is this oppression and loss of liberty doing to the mental health of our kids and to us?
20. Why have most other death rates dropped since the virus?
21. Why did world leaders meet in China in October 2019?
22. Why are the common people being controlled by the government and no one is controlling the government?
23. Why are hospitals paid more for Covid 19 deaths?
24. Why are some doctors speaking out and then getting silenced?
25. Why did Obama give the Wuhan lab $334 million dollars?
26. What does a computer geek have to do with a pandemic and why does he want 7 billion corona virus vaccines?
27. Why ID 2020, Agenda 21 and 2030?
28. Why did the CDC have a job posting for pandemic relief workers in November 2019?
29. Why did Dr. Fauci say in 2017 that the Trump administration would be faced with a " SURPRISE PANDEMIC " and then runs the pandemic team?
30. Why are they infringing on Christians religious freedoms?
31. Why can 500 people shop at the likes of Home Depot, but we are not allowed to go into a church building?
I don't care if you’re Republican, Democrat, Libertarian or vote for unicorns, if you're not asking these questions you should be!

COPIED FROM A FRIEND....

I don't post this to belittle the situation NOR any particular person, but you can't deny the logic here. Telling me I have to be as scared as you is preposterous. I have been working with the public since this started and haven't had the luxury of sitting at a keyboard all day everyday being "safe" at home. I'm glad I have a job I could go to to earn a living to provide for my family and believe EVERY American has the right to do, EVERY AMERICAN!!!!
In light of all the videos that are considered conspiracy theories and are leaving people to wonder what the truth really is, there’s this. I can’t say 100% what the truth is. I know I’m finding it hard to believe anything. But I can still believe in the Constitution, and that’s what this statement is based on.
Anyone who thinks social distancing is a good idea for the next few years, or thinks that a ‘benevolent’ dictatorship is for the good of humanity, just stop now because I won’t be giving that point of view my energy.
If you want to stay home, stay home. That’s your sovereign right to choose.
If you want to wear a mask, wear a mask. That's your sovereign right to choose.
If you want to avoid large crowds, avoid large crowds. That's your sovereign right to choose.
I am not required to descend into poverty for you.
I am not required to abstain from human contact for you.(I wish I could bold this part) -B
I am not required to shop alone, without my friends and family, for you.
I refuse to participate in "quarantine life" until there's a safe or unsafe, tested or untested vaccine released in eighteen months.
I refuse to receive said vaccine to make others feel more safe.
That IS my sovereign right to choose!!!
If you're convinced the vaccine is safe and effective, you can get it.
Some of you are allowing fear and policies devoid of scientifically accurate data to destroy our country and ruin your life.
I can't control your self-destructive behaviors, but we all have a say in the once great USA and the planet we live on.
We need to tell legislators that we demand options.
We have a constitutional right to take risks. Life is full of bacteria and viruses--many of which spread before symptoms manifest and after they subside.
We have a Sovereign right to receive OR refuse vaccines.
The data was inaccurate at best; purposely overblown to justify government overreach at worst.
Stop allowing the government to destroy:
The Food Supply
Small Businesses
Medical Autonomy
Access to Healthcare
Religious Gatherings
Privacy Rights
Fellowship
Our Mental Health
Our Freedom
When the "new normal" is filled with starvation, depression, suicide, child abuse, domestic violence, imprisonment, governmental spying, and pure DESPERATION, the virus is going to look preferable to the world you helped facilitate.
I'm going to turn this around on people from now on. Those that say I'm (or anyone that supports the mission to get us back open) putting money over lives wanting the country back open for business...
Hear this:
-YOU don't care about the people that will kill themselves out of hopelessness
-YOU don't care about small businesses that'll close their doors (THEIR LIVELIHOOD) permanently
-YOU don't care about the children/women/men that'll be victims of domestic abuse
-YOU don't care about people defaulting on their mortgages
-YOU don't care about bills going unpaid by families with ZERO income right now
-YOU don't care about people wondering where their next meal will come from
-YOU don't care about the people that'll lose their sobriety and slip back into addiction
-YOU don't care about the people that will starve
-YOU support the inevitable looting that'll take place
-YOU don't care about anyone that's murdered the longer this shut down goes on
-YOU don't care about people's mental health
-YOU don't care about the children that DO need teachers and educators to guide & educate them
-YOU don't care about the economy crashing down around us
-YOU REALLY DON'T CARE.
-YOU love your shackles
-YOU are pathetic, begging your leaders for MORE shut down and MORE regulations
I will NOT tolerate another person telling me that I don't care about lives.
I care about the situation in its entirety.
But YOU don't care about any of that so...
YOU stay home.
YOU wear a mask.
YOU live in fear.
Authored by a group, those of us WHO GENUINELY CARE about HUMANITY.
Please - Copy & paste if you agree!

I just listen to it every time I feel like I can't keep going. I was never a super big fan of President Bush. However, his message has served me well as a reminder that we all are in this together. I care about this country and the American people. I do my job despite the long hours because I know it is important. We have a long way to go but we should not forget that kindness is key here.
