I pulled out my new Cheyenne kit today and retrieved the new canopy and I guess maybe I didn't paint the clear canopy after all ! The new one is as bad as the old one !

Gunther (Gunkorsky ,, screen name ) steps in and saves the day ,,, AGAIN !!! THANKS Gunther . I was talking about not having time to find the right size bezels for the guages .. He pms me and ask there size and takes his CNC lathe and makes me a set out of 1mm plywood like on his Cheynne . He also in those talks sends me a pdf file of all the decals that he found and made up ready for printing !!!! He cuts out all the bezels and ships them out to me ,,, asking for nothing !!! This is a level way above in my book .I hope I can remember to pass it on some day !

Bezels all cut and packaged for shipment :

had to get out my magnifying getup and tweezers to sand these little bits

a coat of primer

more sanding ,,, flat black added and then put them all on !
And it adds a lot to the flat picture panel that we did ... now to get a better /clearer canopy built so you can see all the details from outside .

Decided to rework the pusher shaft . The one that I used last yr was to short to get full pitch in reverse like it does in forward and the tail rotor shaft that I turned down had a slight wobble in the area where the pitch slider moved and I didn't like it even though it didn't seem to make any difference in the running of the pusher prop .
It now has a longer shaft from Mc Master Carr ,,with me not having to machine it and it is long enough to get full throw in reverse . I didn't think i needed it before and after flying it a while ,, decided it needs more . Now the pitch links on the Trex tail rotor need to be about 3/16 " longer ... so waiting on materials from good ole Mc M :fro:
I also got the chance to order another steel gear and it is installed with the other 2 steel gears so it will maybe hold up to the extra pitch action
