Saved now.. Phew...
Guy's I'm screwed for now. You see I'm gonna start building a Raptor 90 from this spare chassis that came with the other Raptor 60 that I've got.. Lucky for me it has the 90 cooling assembly on it, so I can build it into a 90 heli. (I have ordered the Carbon side frames). The bottom ones arrive from Canada.. But I need these parts to start. especially the top side frames.

The problem is they are coming from Italy, and they are on complete lock down, so I don't know when the parts will get shipped (I have track).. But no movement at the moment... ALL is on hold till I at least get the top Carbon side frames (With them I can get stared).. I'm putting a lot of dough in this heli.. All because I have a spare chassis (I'll take out all the electronics from the 60 and use them for the 90)..

Oh, I was able to get a used complete 90 carbon boom and all that goes with it from the good old UK..

These parts are ordered for Italy:

Coll. Control Arm (b1) pv0289

Carbon upper frame, r60 pv0315

Carbon Graphite Hiller Paddle 4870 pv0308 Raptor Series

550 C.C fuel tank, r60 pv0310

Edit Build can now start..

Why don’t you build the heli without all of those “upgrades” you insist on purchasing ????

When you get your upgrades about a year from now then you can “upgrade” whatever is left ..... 😊
Been there, done that and old enough to know better.....

Those sentiments were transparent on your first post. So stop complaining about your self-centered desires and have some compassion for others in Italy that are suffering and losing their lives to the COVID-19 pandemic...

Dude. That was harsh. People suffer and lose their lives every day. Approximately 60 million people die each year. Around 165,000 people will "suffer and lose their lives" today. It's a sad reality of the human condition.

This is a model helicopter forum. We talk about all aspect of building and flying them. That includes discussing parts availability.

World wide deaths still aren't even as much as the total number of people killed every year due to DUI car crashes in the United States alone!

Not everyone chooses to not be miserable and fear mongered.

With that line of thinking no one should EVER be able to have fun because of this or that without being called selfish or self centered. Whatever buddy, check yourself.

Well guys. A Member here has come to my aid, and was able to sell me the parts needed for me to start building my Raptor 90.. This is more important than the CoronaVirus.. Unlike the Black Death, and the Spanish flue that killed young and old a like.. This coronavirus will kill a lot of poor old sick folks (Thinning of the world population it's called).. Out with the old and in with the new (My poor mum is 85 years old)... Anyway, back to my subject.. What a nice member he is.. His parts coming to me (The OS 90 motor comes tomorrow), so I can start building my Raptor 90.

The radio of my choice is a good old JR PCM 10X (I like the touch screen).. With a OrangeRX 2.4GHz module fitted (I won the bidding for it)...It even has digital trims too...

However, My wife told me that if the Virus pops me off. Then she'll dump all my heli stuff onto the street curb. That's not nice eh?? (I was born with a 2 leaflet aortic heart valve).. Not good.. But my old ticker is still going strong.. (No problems yet after all these years)...

Sweet. Fond memories of the ol' Raptor 90. The carbon side frames were the thickest most stout that I've ever seen.Still buyin' and flyin' then crashing and cryin'

Yep.. If you think that these carbon side frames are thick.. You should see how thick the side frame stiffener plates are, 4mm thick (Like my brain).. It's shame that I have open up the package though... This going to be my build thread if that's OK..

Oh, I don't have the upper carbon side frames yet (Just the bottom ones).. But I was able to get this used carbon boom from the UK for a very good price.... Though I hope the guy packed it well. Maybe in a long cardboard tube eh???..

The alloy cooling fan that I bought used on eBay has a collet inside. I thought that it just screwed onto the crankshaft without a collet. Anyway, how do I lock the motor, so I can tighten the fan before the nut goes on...

By removing the back plate and using a crank lock tool....

Yes! I totally remember those hunks metal called side frame stiffeners! I never ran them because I just never saw the need. Personally, I thought they just needlessly added weight. I never had issues without them installed.Still buyin' and flyin' then crashing and cryin'

Yep they sure are heavy.. But I'll fit them anyway.. The Power plant for my Raptor 90 arrived, and man.. The Carb is so big, and looks like it was run pretty rich too (Now that's a good sign).. But I"m sure that I will need the side frame stiffeners fitted with this monster of a motor installed (Soon the heli will be ready for the neighbors to hear) .. Whats the BHP.. More than a Gasser I bet..

Thanks.. Oh.. I thought of just putting a flat head screw driver inside the crankcase carb throat to lock the motor (Just kidding)...

I am flying my Raptor 90 STD(standard) with a bunch of the metal head upgrades circa 2003-04ish in this video. Good times with nitros and flybars.
