Any 90 size Flybar blades today that can compare to the V-blades a decade ago?
Hello Pilots.
After many years without flying I am starting again ever so slowly...
I have a Raptor 90 3D, and I will never forget the punch or the bite that these V-blades gave my heli!
Unfortunately these blades are long gone, but I was wondering if any of you active pilots have come across any 90 size flybar blades that can compare to the (IMHO) awesome V-blades?
Since I wrecked the V-blades, the closest I came that time was the Radix-blades. But if there are some blades you know of that are more "aggressive", I would very much appreciate any suggestions

Cheers!

It’s funny my buddy Jay and I were just having this discussion as we both love the V-blades. I have one set left on my Predator 90.
The only blades I have personally used that I really like when compared to the V-blades are the rotortech blades. I used to buy them through Century helicopters but century no longer sells heli items. I did find a distributor in Europe who sells them on the internet.
Curiosity to see what other pilots have to say.

Hi Roy, thanks for the response

So how much do you want for those V-blades you got…?

Rotortech, will have to check up on those then. They are only available in Flybarless version.
Do you happen to know how they would work on a Flybar heli? I have read a few topics about it in here, and it doesn't seem to be an issue however.
Thanks again for your answer, much appreciated!
Will be interesting to see what others have experienced.

Cheers,
Orjan.

Hi Orjan,
If I had more than one set I'd gladly sell you a set.
Every once in a while a set come up for sale on eBay or one of the heli sites. You just have to check every day
I am using mine on a 800 size Huey with a flybar head and they fly great. Very stable and smooth as expected from Rotortech blades.
Good luck on your search.

Haha, oh how I wish you had two sets of those blades!
But thanks a lot for the tip on ebay, will be sure to lurk around there more frequently!
Sounds like Rotortech is something to try, I will see if I get my hands on a few.
Thank you sir, hopefully one day....

Cheers,
Orjan.

Thanks a lot Roy! There they are.. Much appreciated!

Rojoalfa; you just made me drool! And I took a screenshot of those babies..
How much for the blades and paddles, how much??
You are one lucky piece of human sir, I really love that setup. Had exactly the same back in the days on my Raptor 90, and it was a dream to fly. I used to "shock" people with the bite in those blades... Full negative pitch hurdling towards the ground and at about 3-5 feet, one pop on the collective stick and it was like it hit a brick wall.. Rock solid! So much fun..
Keep those blades safe sir!

Cheers,
Orjan.
