Vario 800 size Bell 412 revival
I picked this up at the Southern Scale Challenge back in September and have been piecing together parts to convert it to an electric gear driven setup. I finished it up today, I used a Tacon Bigfoot 60 (400kv) motor I picked up for a FMS 1700 Mustang I never used, a Castle Ice 100A ESC, Brain2 BT flybarless controller and 6S 6000 mAh Graphene battery.

This Heli was build several years ago by Paul Hudd in Texas, I just revived it😎

It seems like the motor is rubbing off the mechanics. I would suggest you gently sand the part where this happens just to reduce the wear and keep the motor cooler (rubbing produces additional heat).

Also when you set up the spool up time make it super slow as this kind of setup is pretty demanding on the main gears. Don't ask how I know....
I do use the clutch and I stiped all the gears except the metal ones....

Thanks Klem, yes it was rubbing a little when I first put it together but I did clearanced it a little and it's set for slow spool up and it's got an upgrade (metal) gear
