does anyone know how to repair a satelite cable
I am getting quite a collection of bad satellite cables and it would be nice if I could repair them and save a bit of money. They all look ok but presumably the problem is at the connector. I thought maybe there is a special crimping tool or something out there that makes the job easy.

if it doesn't fit, make it fit but don't force it.

This site has pins and crimpers.
But, if you blob a little "Shoe Goo" where the pins / wires enter connector housing, they won't break anymore

It doesn't look like Hansen has the correct crimper for those contacts. It'll be very tough to get a good reliable crimp without the right tool. Personally, I don't think I'd take the chance (and I have and do make up other custom cables for servos and batteries).

research the size pins and connectors. Then look on Pololu and buy the pins, connectors and crimping tool. They have more stuff than anyone.

The connectors are JST-ZH and the Engineer PAD-11 crimp tool will crimp them and many other types as well.

It is going to be way cheaper to buy new leads unless you really want to DIY plus servo leads and other stuff around the house.

I flew FPV for a long time before it got stupid. We make our own harnesses (More that just leads)
I found these connectors are simply too small to make reliable connections
I have a benchtop lighted magnifier and even with it, reliability/repeatability was the problem.
