What are the most WANTED parts for Miniature Aircraft Helis
Post what parts you need and if the demand is great enough I will consider tooling up to make spares. It will be all USA made stuff so you will get a quality product with a short lead time.

I posted this a long time ago and all I got was bashed by others...have things changed?

I order direct from MinAir. Same quality that you expect, and it doesn't take but a few days to get here. That's my recent experience.

I've ordered parts for New models (Whiplash) and old models (Extreme/Stratus). I've had very good experiences with MinAir-Germany.

Good luck to you though.

Well, on my experience, having a Fury 91 and a SpectraG on my hangar very far away from manufacturers, the teflon, delrin and arnite stuff is a priority, in gears and connecting torque tube rod.

I understand that in the US, it is simple to get spare parts as a pizza delivery.

For foreign countries like mine, the difference should be prices and delivery time and costs. Such orders , most of the time are more expensive than looking the original parts from MinAir. In order to lower the prices, the only way to do that is sacrifice quality control or asking for a bunch of parts.

You got a point on MinAir Kits out of productions.
Good luck on your porposal !
I will take this into account.

We would offer the parts at a discount compared to the non-USA manufactures price, would that be of any value to you?

My company is built on shipping fast and producing quality products, that is something not many can actually do.

Also, our parts will ACTUALLY BE MADE IN USA...

To me personally? No. I would rather support MinAir. Please don't take offense, but I don't think it would be ethical for me to buy non-MinAir manufactured parts for my MinAir machines, when MinAir proper is still manufacturing those parts. I really want them to continue to stay in business.

Good on ya! Always good to see quality manufacturing in the US.

Okay, I will do it regardless, assuming there is demand for the items.

Do you take your car back to the dealership and demand original parts from the manufacture?

Yes, but it's under warranty. If they don't use Ford authorized parts, then that's on them.

Regardless, I see where you're going and it's not quite the same. If Ford goes out of business, frankly it won't hurt me too badly. If MinAir goes out of business (again), I will be devastated (again).

Also, it's an ethical choice that I make. I chose to support the small company that is working really hard to continue manufacturing a product that makes my life much more enjoyable.

If the new MA was a serious player they would have a banner ad on the home page of this forum.

Lack of funds to advertise indicates they are not a serious player in the industry.

If they cannot afford to advertise on this HELI specific forum that has been around for, what 15 plus years, guessing. They are cash poor and likely not to go very far. So what good is it to have a nice bird and not have any spares.

The hobby / Heli's is in a pretty bad state at the present. Not sure why the lack of interest and equally shocked Bergan is not filling the void, or is that bad. I flew Larry's stuff years ago and its good product.

I can't answer, and don't care, why they don't advertise here, or anywhere else. It's none of my business. But they (the owners) travel to the US for Heli events a few times a year. 2 at least that I know of last year. IRCHA and some event in FL. To me, that says they're dedicated to the hobby.

My final take on this; I have old and new MinAir machines, and I'm absolutely not worried about parts. Anything I need is an email or web-order away.

It is mine, its part of being in business. Constantly evaluating potential markets and competitors. Typically if they cannot afford advertising means they are cash strapped or doing it as a "hobby business".

Not sure what the ad rates are on this site, since they are monetizing with user base contributions the ads should be relatively inexpensive. Most certainly its 100% focused so its money well spent. Yet, crickets.

I tried and read the policy and its only for RC stuff. We don't make any RC stuff at the present time.

If it was opened up to other products and the price is right I most certainly would advertise on here.

If your willing to manufacture parts for someone elses brand, why not design, test, and release a USA made and supported helicopter of your own? I still fly xcell and bergen and continue to support them with parts orders and in fact have a whiplash nitro on the way from Germany due next week. Unfortunately, the hobby heli market has cooled way off, that's why bergen gave up "kits". The folks that continue to support and invest in this hobby are due our support. It has to be tough to make a living off people's "fun money". Gaui is shortly releasing a new 600 size that can be built as nitro or electric. Glad to see companies continue to invest in what is an extremely tough market.

So by your own theory you are cash strapped and don't care and not a real player in the game. You're not helping yourself any by coming in here and bashing MinAir and their advertising policies. There's a lot of "real players" that don't advertise here anymore.

squirrel, as a previous business owner, retired due to an accident which left me disabled), if you believe in your product and can produce a high quality aftermarket part then the market will find you. Some will choose to support the factory made parts and others will buy and support you. It all breaks down to quality, price point, and ability to deliver. If you are already set up to make other parts now it can't hurt to give it a try. It might lead to the production of your own helicopter like one of the other postings suggested. This is just my opinion but I do know that others faced with the same questions have pressed on and succeeded.

Sorry, you are only being argumentative with an agenda.

Fact is, if they were real players with serious intent they would be advertising on a highly focused site like this. Its a marketing slam dunk, and yet, crickets.

Totally agree with you on that.

Its not cheap to tool up to make replacement parts. Biggest issue is the lack of interest in RC heli. Not sure why, however it is extremely disappointing.

We already make parts for another market that are very close in dimensions to the Furion 450 feathering shaft. I posted that years ago on here and nothing ever came about that one due to lack of interest. I have not yet received the hate emails regarding making MA parts after this recent post...

All the real players used to advertise here. They are all serious and chose to advertise elsewhere. If you in fact signed up in 2002 you would know how many used to advertise here. I’ve been here since 2001. There are reasons they quit advertising here. Clearly, you are not understanding something or just don’t get it.

Back then IRCHA was packed and several mailorder places along with Cyberheli were doing some serious sales. Times have changed.

Only ones not advertising on this site are hobby / part-time players.

Serious players like the motor vendor have a static placement. That is worth the money, dynamic ads from an ad server are a 100% waste of money and a major rip off. That is due to click fraud, ad blockers, etc. If they knew their game they would jump on the static placements that link back to their website.

They don't have the online acumen or lack the funds...its one or the other.
