Sikorsky S76
So i have this S76 i have been building on. Its about a 700 size, manufacturer unknown, and i got it 2nd hand. The previous owner, aware of my obsession with the S76 gave me 1st shot before listing it in the classifieds and of course i jumped at the long awaited chance.
The fuse came with no woodwork or hardware of any kind so i had my work cut out for me.
The biggest challenge was the retractable landing gear particularly the mains but since i am kind of a landing gear fanatic, after a few designs i was able to make a set that looked and worked pretty close to scale.
Fortunately i have a set of century predator mechanics waiting for something to do so with some mods to the mechanics and the woodwork cut to match, i got it to fit in. A quick look into my box o stuff found a century 4 bladed head that worked out perfectly. Another look in that famous box also found a 4 bladed tail rotor assembly for the tail.
with the mechanics test flown in pod n boom a few times for setup and adjustments it was installed into the fuse and test flown. a few adjustments and a few more flights should have it ready to move forward.

Not much info on the mechanics, how are you going to power this fine model? Your skills and patience are amazing!

Thank you sir
Mechanics aren't anything special really, i took a century predator, converted it to electric, changed the way the tailrotor drive is driven and added a four bladed head. the upper part of the mechanics is modified to accept the tail drive setup. now instead of running on the crown gear atop the main gear, the tr drive is a gear thats driven by the main gear teeth on the side. while in pod n boom i am running a tube drive, the fuselage has a flex cable drive. turning 4 blades at the tail rotor has proven in some cases to be too much of a load for the crown gear up top so i didnt want to take the chance. i did the same thing for my Bell 212. locating the output halfway down at the rear of the mechanics prevented the need to have too much of a bend upwards that the cable would need if it was in the much higher position of the standard setup.
