Len Mount 1/6 scale AH-1S build
After a one decade pause, I'm resuming work on the snake. All scale parts are hand made except for the gun, air data probe and some instrument components which were 3d printed.

Thanks guys. I may have a rare scenario in scale heli where the nose is too heavy. The cockpit is approaching 2.5 lbs. This is after I had removed all the heavy plastic from the pilots' bodies and replaced with foam.

Rich, great to meet another Scalehouse owner! In fact, I had just replaced its head with 4 blades this fall.

YES - a little frail and no longer flying, but he is still with us.

DG, pumping smoke through spinning barrels is a skill set that is beyond me. I have however did it for my Indy Heli Apache here:

Dr. Tim, perhaps you don't remember, this is the same Cobra for which you had sent me a CD full of full-sized reference pictures more than a decade ago. I had taken a 10-year hiatus from the hobby and only resumed last year.

SkySurfer Is Len still alive?
I got word from a mutual friend that Len is ill and can no longer model. He is looking to sell all of his models to help finance retirement. You guys should put the word out. Given the quality of his work, I believe many modelers should be very interested.
