Does anyone recognize this helicopter
Hi, I recently purchased this from Ebay (deal of a lifetime) from someone who had no idea what he had.
I'm curious of the history of this xcell 60 graphite.

It's a MinAir X-Cell 60 with graphite frames. I believe he's asking about history of the specific helicopter in the picture.

Sure looks like the ones I have. SE Canopy, X-Cell head and the tail rotor on the opposite side as most other helis.

Wow, you guys are totally missing the point here. Yes I know the history of the xcell line, I have been flying them for over 20 years and still have 7 of them.
My point was does anyone know the previous owner of this particular helicopter.

Well, the post is correct.

When we purchase something as used, we need to know where it came from.

Same thing happens in my country.
The RC heli comunity is Small so it is easy to Follow or track each model aircraft...

Of course, in the US is another story...

Its usually really hard to trace the history of a particular model helicopter, especially an Xcell where so many parts are interchangeable across so many different models over so many years.

people sell canopies to each other so you can't use that as a guide. Can't tell you how many Xcell's that I've seen for sale advertised as one of the later high end models that when you took the model apart you found that its was an original Xcell 60 that over years was partially upgraded into another version.

even if a particular persons model had a very specific customized part, you can't be sure that they didn't just sell that part to somebody else who put it on their model. Its not surprising to find that these models pass through several hands over their existence each changing it in some way and don't forget in the early days MA sold conversion kits so that you could convert one model to another.....it wasn't financially useful but regardless it was possible to do and no way to track the changes.

Im agreed.
Modified rc helis.. Very hard to track... That is why we need a place like this web Page to do the questions...

With so many People on Field camps. Rc helicopters in different shapes and custom paint canopies, it a wild guess for asking to find a track...

It is always good to answer first and not after doing the purchase...

Yes... Probably got angry and quit.. We don't know...

But the post is relevant.

In My country, it is useful that rc heli comunities get in touch, in case of robbery...doing this type of question...
