TX / RX requirement for Brain 2 Mini (Protos 380)
About to get back into helis and putting together a Protos 380. Going with the MSH Brain 2 Mini and not sure on what TX / RX. Will the Spektrum DX 6 with AR6600T be suitable and give me full functionality or do I need to step up ? I'm unclear on the brain 2 mini and if it links directly to any particular TX without the need for a separate RX. I want to make sure I get everything needed on first shot. Thanks for any help.

Hi,

Unsure about the DX6 and receiver, however MSH Brain can accommodate a fair amount of Tx and Rx combinations.

Download the software from http://www.msh-electronics.com/downloads/ and have a look.

Regards,

The DX6 will work, no doubt about it.
But you will be limited for certain features. It will be a case of picking a feature you do want (like Rescue) vs another feature (like Setup selection)
A 7 channel would remove that restriction.

You don't need the AR6600T. You can plug the DSX2 / DSMX remote serial (Satellite) receivers directly into the Brain2 / iKON2 sat ports (2)

For telemetry, you will need a Spektrum transmitter that supports telemetry and a Spektrum SPM4649T + 1 Sat.
If you have one of the newest DX6, I believe they do support telemetry.

MSH is a very good choice for the controller. A nice used DX8 or better yet DX9 would give you all the functions Brain can deliver. The DX9 is handy because you can have spoken switch change call outs."Sweet dreams and flying machines in pieces on the ground." J. Taylor
