Need help in setting up CCPM Flybar -esp pitch range settings.
Hi all ,

I seemed to have developed a memory lapse of what to do after so many years away from this hobby .
What I have is a 500 electric flybar new Copter X (ie generic of TREX 500 CF ). It is a great heli with slop free head .What I have done is as follows (unfortunately there were no recommended rod lengths on the TREX downloaded manual) :-

1)Midstick on normal pitch curve and cyclic servos moving correctly and at 90 degrees with help of subtrim.Swashmix still at default 60 % .Also my entire heli is level too on the table.
2) Swash been levelled with swash leveller and is very good across the entire collective range.
3) Washout arms level and mixers level and blade pitch at 0 degrees with SOKO device and flybar locked.
4) What I get is -10 degs at the low collective and only around 5-6 degrees at the top and 0 degrees at midstick. The washout base is already just touching the mixing arms hub.
5) The ball on the servo arms seems far out enough and is around 13mm and the last hole.

Here is where I am stuck . I probably can increase the pitch swash mix to say 75 % ,and that will sure get an even lower collective range but I believe that this will not increase the top collective (due to the washout base hitting the mixing arms centre) and after doing so ,all my hard work of getting zero degs pitch at midstick will be wasted.

If anyone can give me a two min tip or so youtube video whuch addresses the above, it will be much appreciated.

Thanks in advance for putting up with this long post.

when you set up the swash plate do it all at mid stick. the swash height I set by looking at the anti rotation pin and making sure it is in the middle of the anti rotation bracket.
From what you describe the swash plate is low, lengthen the servo links to the swash and re-adjust the other links to get 90*
spending time, paying attention
