Hirobo Helicopters
Hi All,

I am once again looking for a new heli to add to my collection (Freya 90). I have heard rumours that Hirobo are very shortly bringing out some new models between the 50-90 size, but I have also heard that Hirobo are on their way out of the RC Heli market? Can anyone shed some light on these rumours???

I have e-mailed this question to the good folks at RC Japan, as I just finished an electric and flybarless conversion on a 1st generation Freya (60). I was informed that Hirobo has no intentions of closing shop on rc helis any time soon and would be maintaining stock or manufacturing as needed any parts / kits as currently listen on RC Japan's website.
This was at least 6 months before the photos of the new products were introduced to the public.
My addiction to this hobby began 7 years ago with a crappy Trex clone.
I only know electrics but loved the look of the Freya and Turbulence.
Through RR Runryder and research, I learned about methods of electric conversion, availability of parts and support for Freyas.
What I have learned from Hirobo is that it has a commercial division which produces products for industry, and the model division which maintains a warehouse stocking most everything supported on the RC Japan website. Parts that are not in warehouse stock will be made to order if still supported.
Hope this provides some clarity!

That is absolutely 100% true. I placed a large order for Hirobo Shuttle parts from RC Japan. Everything was in stock except for one particular non critical small item. RC Japan had called to inform me that if I was willing to wait an additional week, Hirobo would do a run of the part my order was missing so my order would be 100% complete. Service like that is very very rare in this hobby, let alone in this world. You cannot go wrong with RC Japan. They ship quickly too.

If I had a dollar every time I heard Hirobo was going out of business, I would probably be a millionaire. I remember back when a certain shop was telling people that, just to get people to buy the latest and greatest. I got so much crap at my field by certain people because I didn't follow the trend. As stated above, new models coming out and they are alive and kicking. Just harder to get supplies. Other than RCJapan and TRMF, there isn't hardly anywhere else to get them from. Fine by me, RCJapan is great.
