Upcoming New Hirobo products.
First off I'd like to congratulate Mark Ryder from bringing this site back up. It's good to see it again!!!

Okay, It's been awhile since I've posted. For all those loyal fans of the Hirobo line I have some great news for you.

Hirobo is releasing a couple of new products this year and I think the most anticipated kit so far is the development of a successor for the Eagle 3 WC line.

The new kit will be called Hirobo STT Eagle 4. The new kit is a totally new re-deign of the airframe and canopy unlike the previous ones.

Here are some teaser photos from Hirobo Group.

The new model will be a top motor mount, direct servo-to-swash linkage, new main gear (helical), and a 3-bladed tail rotor system. The canopy is also a new re-design to accommodate the top motor mount and new airframe.

Some one you will be thinking that Hirobo is coming in late with those designs as they've been out for quite some time now. However, the way I see it is better late than never!!! For a Hirobo enthusiast it's all about the novelty. It's like a Leica camera, though the look and technology doesn't appease everyone you have a certain group of people that loves it and I believe we are that certain group.

Whether you love it or hate it..it's all up to you, but as for me I'm happy about it.

Anyway, besides the Eagle 4 model Hirobo will also release the Gigas 600 which I believe will replace the Sceadu line, and there will be a Version 3 Hirobo Turbulence that will be due out this year too.

So keep a lookout.....

I've never owned a Hirobo, but that is awesome news. The more selection, the better. I know Hirobo makes quality helicopters, so that is always welcome.

Thanks for the update, this is great news.

I loved the Freya and Sceadu. Fantastic helis that flew like a dream without all the unnecessary carbon fiber, machined aluminum, and other "bling" that makes helis more expensive and doesn't really add anything to the table past looks.

I sincerely hope they do a Freya EVO-E or something similar. A $400 heli that can out smack the $1000 ones sounds good to me.

In the 1980's I owned a BBL-Hawk. It was great until I crashed it. It took three months to get replacement parts."Sweet dreams and flying machines in pieces on the ground." J. Taylor

Wish they would really go after the American market and have another American Distributor.

Honestly, there probably isn't enough to be sold here in the US. Most new comers and a lot of the others are into the latest and greatest. Most would probably say they are always behind in the changes. I would probably say they are still among the best. People just think they are old school.

To add to the last post, to me, hirobo and others like them appeal to me like electric guitars, i.e. Gibson or Fender who have "dated" designs but bring it in fundamental good quality and craftsmanship etc.. So as long as we enjoy them and you can get parts, all is good! (for both rc heli pilots and guitar players)
