Building a Synergy N7 night machine which motor to use?
I am building a Synergy N7 as a night machine, I currently have 2 options for the motor. I have an OS 91 HZ with a cline regulator on it and hatori muffler. Or a YS 120 SR with the funtech 3D TE 120 muffler. I am leaning toward the YS 120 SR, so I have plenty of power. But I have heard they vibrate a lot. Which motor should I use and why?

I have a YS 91 SRX Tareq in my other Synergy N7. And it has plenty of power.

I’d go with the OS. I tried a YS motor and could not get it running very well. I swapped to OS and never looked back. I spend more time flying and less time tuning!!

Hey Dave!I tried a YS once was always chasing the tune in it. OS is trouble free the .91 will provide plenty of power for sure!Gary Steward

OS HZ, hands down. Gave up on YS after chasing my tail for two seasons. OS HZ's in 4 machines with not a single problem since they were released.

Many spectators assume I have the OS 105 installed. Nope, OS 91 Hz.

OS in mine , handles heat and tunes easier . YS seemed inconsistent . I think it comes down to flying style . If your more of a mild 3D and like to fiddle YS but if you like harder 3D and want to fly with no worries on tune then OS .I stole it ,flew it and gave it back ;)

I have a N7 with an OS 105 on it and it works great. I have also run many YS .91’s and never had a problem.Team Synergy, Team Scorpion, No good deed goes unpunished
