My new Quest Neo-Caliber ZG FBL
Well here she is. I bought this kit off Rüdiger Feil in Germany. His service was fantastic. It was ordered with the original black and gold Caliber undercarriage an d a two blade tail rotor. I’ve since added the upgraded main gear for prettiness and will add a third main mast bearing because I can. I’m using Rototech 810’s and NHP 115’s. the muffler is from Muffler Studio. The electronics will all be Futaba. T18SZ, R7008SB, CGY750, HPS-HC700 on swash, S-HC500 on throttle and BLS276SV on tail using an ESW-1D electronic switch. The quality of this helicopter is the best I’ve ever seen and I’ve owned 17 helicopters of which all but one was Japanese, the other a Protos 500. I’ve always wanted a Caliber 60 or 90 but I far prefer the practicality and running cost of a gasser.

Quest NEO Caliber ZG, Zenoah G260PUH, CGY750, NHP 750, NHP 115.
JR Propo Ergo 30, OS 32SX-H, Edge 550, Edge 90.

Looks like a great frame for a 4 stroke conversion, with the 2 stage gearing and the cooling fan.

Thanks guys, I’m so excited with it.

I’ve cut a NACA style inlet above the cooling fan for those hot Australian summers.

The model is available in quit a few versions and they will basically supply it with whatever you want.

I don't know if I should thank you or curse you. I've found myself thinking of build a gasser and this isn't helping. I found myself looking at the X-Cell Whiplash for far too long the other day.

Is there another place to buy a Quest other than JapanRC? You mentioned there are options. What options and how did you order?

I gotta get smarter on motor options...

I love that they still offer a flybar option.

You can get one from Rüdiger Feil at TMRF

I looked at the Whiplash gasser which is also a lovely and very high quality model but I’ve always really wanted a Caliber and it suits my flying style more.
